Unlike between first and second, nobody bothered us. Stephanie had disappeared and none of her cronies had shown their faces either. Surprisingly, we were the first two there and I mean that quite literally since the teacher was nowhere in sight. I shrugged, picking up a guitar and playing a few chords.

"Yeah, you're such a gentleman
You always open doors for me
But you see us kind of different
Its like you always have to be
The first one to open his mouth
The last one to throw in your towel
Its time to chill yourself out
Boy you're trying

Just a bit too hard
I thought I told you when we met
That I like you for who you are
But I think you like an argument
I don't need to think in my mind
I'm too grown, I'm taking my time
I'm sick of hearing you whine
Listen baby

You don't have to come first
Second is okay cause you ain't ever beating me

I say it once
You say it twice
You know I like a little competition from time to time
You think I'm wrong when I know I'm right
You lose this ain't no kind of competition
I like a man with ambition
But when you gonna know it's time to let go
Cause I think I'm about to lose my mind

Tell me does it scare you
That I'm living my dream
Now I don't mean to hurt you
But you make me wanna scream
You smile while grinding your teeth
You clap while stomping your feet
You act about seventeen
I'm so tired

You don't have to come first
Second is okay cause you ain't ever beating me

I say it once
You say it twice
You know I like a little competition from time to time
You think I'm wrong when I know I'm right
You lose this ain't no kind of competition
I like a man with ambition
But when you gonna know it's time to let go
Cause I think I'm about to lose my mind

I can do it better
You know I can do it better

What you trying to prove?
What is it with you?
Always thinking
I can do it better
You know I can do it better
Baby I can't stand always arguments
Why you wanna fight?
You ain't always right
I can do it better every day and every night
I can do it better everyday and every night

I say it once
You say it twice
You know I like a little competition from time to time
You think I'm wrong when I know I'm right
You lose this ain't no kind of competition
I like a man with ambition
But when you gonna know it's time to let go?
Cause I think I'm about to lose my mind." I sang confidently

My eyes widened, hearing the clapping. That was way too loud to be just Katy. I looked up, seeing everyone standing there.

"That was amazing! I'm Ms. Edwards. You must be Alli." Ms. Edwards smiled

"Yeah, that's me." I replied

She nodded, walking over to her desk. One by one, people started to take their spots until it was just Chase standing in front of me. He walked over, placing his hands on my hips silently. I raised my eyebrow at him, daring him to do something.

"Nice singing, Cinderella." He murmured in my ear before pressing a soft kiss right below it

I pushed him away from me, scoffing. I strode to where Katy had sat down and took the empty seat beside her. I knew what kind of guy Chase was portraying himself as. Chase was the kind of guy that thought he could lure any girl into his bed just to leave her. I was not going to become one of his followers; he's too conceited for my liking.

Katy smiled shyly when I realized something.

"Wait, Edwards? As in, Perrie Edwards?" I whispered

"Yeah, they're siblings." Katy answered

"Oh my god." I mumbled

Katy rolled her eyes, obviously knowing who sung the song I had just played. Ms. Edwards could easily tell her sister about how some student completely, utterly butchered her song. I had just learned to play it on guitar so I couldn't have been all that good at it.

I groaned, seeing Chase walk past me and sit right behind me. He knew what he was doing and it was annoying. I ignored the burning sensation on the back of my head from his staring and focused on the work set out for us. Chase Dixon would not be the factor that hindered my school work if I had any say in it.

"If you guys can behave then I'll play music. But, if it gets out of hand then it'll be turned off." Ms. Edwards announced

Music came out of her speakers and floated throughout the room. Nobody dared to talk so they wouldn't risk having the music turned off. I sang along in my head, mouthing along with the song. Don't let me down by The Chainsmokers featuring Daya was one of my favorite songs at the moment.

Katy rolled her eyes at me, not in a rude way though. It was more like, 'of course you're singing along in your head'. I smiled, returning the the paper in front of me. I had one question left and really wanted to finish it.

I quickly answered the question before walking up to her desk to hand it in. I was about to go back and sit down when she stopped me.

"Yes, Ms. Edwards?" I asked quietly

"My sister wants to meet you, along with the rest of the band. I may have told her about how amazing you were at singing and now, they want to hear for themselves. They could come during lunch if you're up to it?" Ms. Edwards suggested

I nodded and her face lit up like I told her that she won the lottery. I walked back to my desk, processing the fact that I would be meeting my idols. I looked up from the floor only to bump into someone, Chase. His arm wrapped around my waist, keeping me from falling on my arse. I wanted to wipe the smirk off his face as Chase lifted me back up.

"Welcome Cinderella." Chase mumbled

"Not your Cinderella." I spat, pushing myself away

I sat down, humming quietly along to the song. I was so excited about lunch.
