My Cinderella (Arthur Pendragon love story.)

Chapter 17

*Previously*

Merlin gave a short laugh and handed the dress to Isabella, motioning her to go and get changed into it so that they can leave, just as Isabella was walking to get changed the door opened and in walked Gwen with Mina.

*Present*

Dropping the dress on the nearest table, Isabella ran towards her two friends standing at the door next to Merlin. They engulfed each other in a massive hug, after a couple of minutes Isabella looked over to Merlin and gave him a short smile.  She turned back to Mina and Gwen before saying, "Why are you two here? Shouldn't you be at the castle?"

They gave her a soft smile before Mina said, "Merlin, here, asked us to come and help you get ready to see Arthur, he said that we must be by your side the whole time and keep you as far away as possible from Cassandra and Angela with the help of Abby. Merlin needs to leave to be with Arthur while Arthur goes to the town to see the people so we are going to be with you, plus we thought you could use some friends in this time of need."

Isabella just smiled brightly at the girls and Merlin before she grabbed the dress and walked to the back and changing into it with the help of Gwen. By the time they were ready Merlin had gone and then they were ready to go to the town.

Arthur and Merlin walked up to the center of the town where people had gathered when they heard that he was coming.

The walk from the house on the outskirts of the town towards the center of the town wasn't exactly a very long walk and soon Isabella along with Mina and Gwen.

A massive group of people surrounded someone and just by the amount of people Isabella could tell that it was Arthur. Merlin stood a little off to the left of the group. He smiled at Isabella when he saw her coming.

Isabella stopped in her tracks when the group spilt into two different groups and in the middle of the massive of people stood the one and only............................

Arthur.

Gwen gave Isabella a small push when they realized that she had stopped walking. Gwen knew of the friendship that happened between Isabella and Arthur before Cassandra came to take Isabella away to work in her house as a slave with the others there.

Arthur looked in the direction of Isabella and the others, Isabella smiled a little and then looked down and held the beautiful purple skirt in her delicate hand, slowly walking towards the group, Mina on her left and Gwen on her left.

Merlin walked past Arthur and towards the girls and went straight to Isabella and said, "Izzy you look beautiful!" She gave him a soft smile and looked up at Arthur who was holding an intense gaze on her.

She looked at Mina and Gwen who smiled at her, motioning for her to go towards Arthur and Isabella took a step closer to Merlin and once she was at his side they began to walk together.

But Isabella was frozen in her steps as soon as she saw the young maiden wrap her arm around Arthur and take his hand in hers. Isabella's heart shattered again as she just stood still and watched the scene in front of her unfold.

She looked at Merlin and leaned in to say something to him so only he could hear,

"What happened to he only wanted the girl from the ball? Because he seems very happy here with his new princess."

With that said she turned on her heel and with tears streaming down her face she reached for the white cloak that Mina held in her hands.

With that she ran down the town and towards the forest, where a surprise waited for her.......
