Constellation Babies

"Stop pouting," Ginny commanded, sitting up a bit straighter on the green couch to show her authority over her clueless husband.  Draco stuck his lip out further.  The redheaded witch rolled her eyes.  "I swear, you're still fifteen years old sometimes."

"I was the sexiest fifteen year old you will ever know, so I suggest you shut your mouth."

After Ginny and Draco had returned home from the Manor that day, nothing had really changed.  Draco's parents were the same old snobby selves they had always been, and it didn't affect them in the slightest.  Or at least that's what they pretended.

Even the news of the Riddle girl's plans were insignificant to them; what teenage girl could pose a real threat against dozens of powerful Aurors who had fought the most powerful Dark Wizard of all time when they themselves were just teenagers?

Draco had to go to work the next day after taking a few days off to see his parents and to stay home with Ginny.  He wasn't particularly happy about it, because Malfoys don't like to get their hands dirty.

Ginny didn't understand why Draco did something he hated, but he justified it.

He wanted to tie together a world that he once tried to tear apart.  He wanted to fix something that was so broken it would be impossible to do so.  He wanted to find love and peace in a place where families cried and patients mourned themselves.

Anyways, at the moment, the young pair were bickering like they were, in fact, the fifteen year old schoolchildren that had once despised even the sight of each other.

Ginny looked tired and worn.  She had no makeup on, and she let her wavy hair roll down her back like tongues of flame.  Her red hair was beginning to dull a bit, not yet growing grey, but yet, not the same fiery shade it once was.  She had gained a bit of weight, but not much, and in all the right places.  She actually looked pretty great.  She was usually so skinny and toned, but now she looked a bit more like the mother that she was.

Draco was tired as well, but it didn't show as visibly on him.  He had barely visible dark circles around his eyes.  His skin was as ever pale and creamy.  His eyes were tired and sad, but with the same mischievous spots of violet and turquoise in his deep grey irises.

"So, anyways, I was thinking of some names for the baby..."  Draco said, looking at his toes and speaking hesitantly.

"You were doing what?" Ginny asked, amazed.

"Is that bad?  I mean if it's bad, you can do it.  I just thought-"

Ginny quieted him instantly, her lips crashing on his.  Draco's eyes got huge with surprise but then he shut them and kissed her back passionately.

When they were done, Ginny was still bewildered.  "You THOUGHT about something?  Draco Lucius Malfoy, you've never thought about anything in your life."

"I've thought about hot girls," Draco mused.

Ginny swatted his shoulder.  "Shut your mouth."

"Just kidding," he said with a cocked eyebrow, watching her stern expression slowly soften.  She looked so much lovelier when she wasn't pissed off at him.   "I was thinking that if we had another girl it could be Cassiopeia, and if we had a boy, it could be Asterion."

"Perseus!" Ginny exclaimed, having a tiny epiphany.

"What?" Draco replied, worried that she didn't like the names.  Maybe the Black and Malfoy-tradition constellation names wouldn't be the best idea in Ginny's eyes.

"Asterion Perseus Malfoy.   If that isn't perfection I don't know what is.  And Cassiopeia Lyra."

"My god, woman.  You like my names.  And this whole baby thing is real.  This is real."  Draco looked like he was about to burst with realization.

"You're such an idiot," Ginny laughed.  "Of course it's real."

"Don't be mean.  I'm just nervous."  I must really love her, he thought.  Malfoys don't tell others when they're scared.

"You've already done this father thing before.  You're fine.  I guarantee it."

Draco rolled his eyes and got up off of the couch.  He had lots of things to do before he could return to work, and he had been married long enough to know that Ginny was always right.  He really shouldn't bother arguing.
