FOUR.
Amanda.
"No," I said as I back toward the door. "No."
"You also wanted proof, right?" Tatiana smiled then snapped her fingers.
The same guy that had been behind Tatiana came forward with a boy who was about nineteen. He kicked and yelled for me to run, but my curiosity bolted my feet to the ground. And some very strong hands that were now closed around my upper arm.
"Run!" The boy yelped as knelt in front of Tatiana. The same guy that had brought the boy in stepped aside so that I could see everything, but he still had his grip on the boy that was kneeling.
"Here is you proof," Tatiana said. She opened her mouth and her once perfectly normal canines were now growing out of her gums. They started to get sharper and sharper until they were like razors. Those were four very sharp teeth.
"Run, run, run!!!" The boy kept yelling at me. The shouts didn't register in my mind because I was obviously still standing in the same position with my mouth hanging open.
I couldn't tear my eyes off the horrific sight in front of me as Tatiana placed her hands on the boys shoulder. Her nails were about an inch long and they started to cut into the boy's skin. Little beads of blood started to collect under her nails when her head started to inch toward the neck.
"Run, you stupid girl!" The boy yelled one last time before Tatiana latched onto the boy's neck like a leach in need of blood.
I watched as the boy's blood slowly melted from his cheeks. His eyes were pleading for me to run, but I couldn't. Finally, after the boy reached out with his hand, I started backing away until I hit something hard. I looked behind me to find a huge guy standing there with his arms crossed over his chest. It was like standing by John Cena.
"Now do you believe me?" I heard the voice, but my mind wasn't working. Or it was, but it was just processing everything that I had just seen. Tatiana, the boy, the fangs, the blood leaking down the boy's neck, and the way the boy's eyes closed just before he fell to the floor. Everything that Tatiana and Adrian had told me was as true as my false feelings for my mother.
"I-I..." I stammered as I fell to the floor. My mind kept replaying what had just happened. I tried to shake it off, but the memories would just keep coming back.
"Give her a little room to process her thoughts, Tatiana," I heard Amelia's voice behind Tatiana. I saw her approached Tatiana and whisper something in her ear then her hand was on Tatiana's shoulder.
"Yes, mother." Tatiana said. I was in no position to stick my tongue out at her, but did it anyway. It was like watching a real soap opera in action.
"Are you okay, Amanda?" Amelia asked me as she helped me up from my position.
"Physically, yes. Mentally, I think I'm going to need a trauma counselor," I said to her.
Amelia laughed then said, "You'll be fine."
"I hope so," I muttered then the damned memories came back to my head. I immediately started to back away from Amelia, wondering if she was anything like her weird daughter.
"Don't worry. Tatiana, Adrian, and I couldn't hurt you if we wanted to. And I am not like Tatiana and Adrian. They are half-breeds like you, but a different kind. I am a full blooded witch like your father is a full blooded vampire. You are a half vampire," she said to me.
I just looked around the room as I tried to process. The people in the room were just staring at me with amazement. Adrian walked around me to stand by his mother. Tatiana snapped her fingers again and the man that had brought the boy to her dragged the boy's body somewhere.
