Eight.
Tatiana.
"About time, Princess." That beautiful voice said behind me. I didn't even notice Christian standing there.
"Hi," I said, breath-taken by the way the moonlight shined down on Christian. His cheekbones were more pronounced and the moon made shadows appear under them. His fair skin called out my name and made me want to touch it. His dark eyes were magnificent and his blond hair looked like the sunlight had kissed it and blessed it with its light.
Amanda was right. Christian truly was a god.
"I love this place. It's beautiful," Christian walked past me and leaned on the rail. As he stood there, my eyes slid over his beautiful body and its perfection.
"Yes, it is." It pained me to tear my eyes of his body and look to the stars above and flowers below.
"But, with you standing there, it's all pretty plain." As Christian said this, I felt heat rise to my cheeks. I hadn't blushed since I was fourteen when I looked at Elliot in a different, newer way. A good three years made my face fell like it was a volcano, waiting for the right moment to erupt. I knew this was just the beginning.
I inhaled the scent of everything around me. I expected to smell sweet flowers, but all I smelled was Christian. Cinnamon, sugar, and chocolate was the exact smell of forbidden fruit.
"I can't wait for the Games begin," Christian said, breaking the silence.
"Yes, it would be interesting," I responded with a smile. I don't really know why I added the smile.
Christian looked at me and our locked gazes. A lopsided smile crept to his lips, making me want to kiss those luscious lips, just to know if they were as soft as they looked. His eyes were like stars, shining bright on the right night.
"Milady?" I vaguely heard Elliot's voice, but I didn't want to turn my head for one second.
"Yes?"
"Vasile would like to see you," Elliot left and closed the door behind him.
"Is that your boy toy?" Christian asked me.
"No." The lie came naturally. I didn't even have time to think.
"You're lying." Christian took a step closer.
"How would you know?"
"I saw the way he looked at you, then at me. You are with him, aren't you? You don't want anyone to find out, so you only display affection for him in the bedroom," Christian guessed.
Fear clenched in my stomach. I felt emotion slid off my face and become a blank slate that no one I knew could read. Christian had just guessed what no one could ever know. Christian had done what was considered the impossible.
"You are delusional," I said as I walked past him.
"Only when I'm with you. And when I'm with you, I'm definitely not blind or I wouldn't have known how beautiful you are," Christian's words stopped me.
"What you saw was Elliot's concern for me." I turned around to face him.
"Nope. I know jealousy when I see it. And I just saw it in his eyes as he looked at me with disgust," Christian had a smirk on his face.
"Fine. I'll admit to sleeping with Elliot, but what's in it for you?" All vampires wanted something in return when they were blackmailing you.
"I'll let you know," Christian walked past me, opened the door and held it.
