Ten.
Tatiana.
I woke the next evening before the sun was past the mountains that surrounded the entire Mansion. The trees started to turn orange, brown, and yellow from the cold that comes with every fall. The moon was barely visible for a human, but for me it shined like a sun. In a couple of months snow will start to cover the ground ending another year.
"Ryan," I called out to the guard that stood at my door.
"Yes, milady?" he said as he entered.
"Get the cars ready for our departure. Dispatch the senders to let the Royals know of our meeting," I instructed him.
"Yes, Princess," he said formally and bowed.
I crawled out of bed and closed the thick drapes so the rays of the sun wouldn't burn my skin. Behind the closed doors of my room, I felt a strong presence. Usually my personal chambers would be off limits to other vampires unless granted permission. When my powers started to search for the cause of this main power, small drops of gold dust began to pour around me.
"Dearest great one," voices whispered around me. I looked for the source of the power but couldn't find any.
"Who is this?" I whispered back.
"The Ancient Prophecy will soon begin..." the voices continued to say something else but I couldn't really hear them.
Soon the whispers and voices were gone. There was nothing and no one around me, but the guards that were outside of my door and the servants that were scurrying around, trying to prepare for the Games. They wouldn't be attending because they were human and were unable to stand the gruesome sight that was going to be displayed. Of course the only humans that would be attending would be Adam and his wife, or humans that were food.
I left my room, thinking about the voices and took a shower then changed my clothes. My suitcase was packed and was already in the car that we were taking. Amanda's suitcase was also already in the car with a lot more clothes.
"Ready?" Amanda asked me when she walked into my room and sat on one of the couches.
"Yes, I am." I said as I left my room and started down the steps until we reached the door. Elliot held the door open for us. I looked out to the night and smiled.
Eleven black sedans were parked around the fountain in the middle of the circle drive. Four guards stood around eight of those black sedans, four at the front and four more at the back. Three cars were in the middle with Adrian standing with his hands around his back beside the back door to the first car that wasn't filled with guards.
I turned my gaze to the last car without guards. Which was a mistake. Christian stood by the car like Adrian only he had the most beautiful smile that the world could ever know. His face was glowing like it had the night in the garden. Brown orbs were now devouring my face and body while Amanda said something in my ear.
I noticed that his brother Valeriu was standing next to him with a smile of his own. He was handsome, but he wasn't as beautiful as his youngest brother.
"-he's so hot," Amanda whispered in my ear.
I laughed then slowly walked down the step, making sure the wind blew the hair from my face. Instead of looking at Christian I smiled at Elliot when he opened the car door. Adrian wanted to ride alone so I respected his wishes by calling Amanda over and telling her to sit with Elliot and me.
"Adrian is riding alone?" she asked.
"Yes," I responded.
"Okay," Amanda let it go then crawled into the car. She sat behind the driver while I sat behind Elliot. Car doors started closing then we were off. Since the Planes were too risky to take with all the attacks on the Mansion then we wouldn't take them.
