Won't You Stay This Time?

Bedewed Butler (Part 2)

~~Third Person POV~~

The full moon shown down brightly, reflecting beautifully off the small pond on the Trancy estate. Sebastian and Claude stood on the dock, facing the same direction as one another as Claude stood nearest the edge and Sebastian stood closest to the forest they had come from, facing Claude's back.

"You're nothing if not persistent. You've been hunting my master most relentlessly", Sebastian said as he glared at Claude.

"My master ordered it", he replied. "He instructed me to steal Ciel Phantomhive from Sebastian Michaelis."

"Nevertheless, he is my young master", Sebastian spat. Claude lifted his right hand and looked at it.

"Just the feel of him...", he trailed off, moving his hand as if grasping an object and maneuvering it in his hand. "One rarely handles something so fine." Sebastian's glare deepened as his eyes filled with rage.

"I cannot abide the thought that someone else has touched him", he said. "It's enough to make me sick. The sticky, clingy touch of your spiderweb has defiled him. My master." Claude narrowed his eyes in rage as he removed his glasses.

"Ciel Phantomhive... his soul", Claude said as he turned around and in time to see Sebastian ran at him. Sebastian attempted an uppercut, but Claude dodged quickly and moved behind him. Before Sebastian could turn around, Claude landed a punch in the jaw on Sebastian. However, the hit did not seem to phase Sebastian as he quickly moved behind Claude again with a smirk, lifting his hands as if to provoke him.

The two jumped into the air, taking turns at trying to hit the other and quickly moving behind them again. The two could practically hear the hollow echo of chiming bell back on the island where Sebastian had tried to eat Ciel's soul only to realize it had been stolen out from under him. The shock of the realization sent Sebastian to his knees at the time.

<Flashback>

"This is impossible... my lord is empty...", Sebastian said darkly to himself on his knees. His frown slowly turned into a wide smirk as the concrete structure began to crumble around him, the source of the first break being just beneath him. His eyes turned their demonic pink as his demon self shown through clearly as the structure practically exploded with his rage.

The smoke of the breaking structure was visible far into the ocean surrounding the island, but Sebastian was not hurt and neither was Ciel's body. He emerged from the smoke with glowing eyes and a foggy aura about him while carrying Ciel's body.

<Present>

"That was the day you took him from me, you underhanded thief", Sebastian spat. "You stole my precious young master's soul..." The two landed effortlessly on the water's surface below them and continued their fight.

"It wasn't enough though", Claude said. "I needed more than the soul. I needed the body as well. But then you came here."

"Yes. I retrieved his soul from you", Sebastian replied. "And yet, something was not right. He was still not my young master."

Claude kicked up a current of water, aiming for Sebastian. Sebastian was quick to do the same, causing the currents to collide and become one twisting current of water. Claude ran at Sebastian, but stopped short once again to kick up another current. Sebastian glared at him, but did the same, creating another twisting current. Sebastian ran between the two currents intent on getting to Claude, all the while remembering what had happened when he had returned Ciel's soul to him. When Ciel had looked up at him, it was more then clear that he had no recollection of any recent past.
