Author's Note:
What's up guys!! I'm glad to say I'm back! I'd like to apologize once again for taking such a long, unannounced break. It was not planned or intentional. My deepest apologies to you all. But thank you all so much for being patient with me and this book. By the time you all read this, I will have a few of the coming chapters finished in advance, if not the rest of the book. It is my hope to keep what happened previously from happening again.
Also! I was thinking about making an Instagram for this Wattpad account. The username in a previous chapter (somewhere ^^;) is very outdated and I'm not sure I want to give out my personal one again. What do you guys think? Should I make an Instagram for my Wattpad account? You could ask questions there, I'd post fanart, I'd give updates, etc. Let me know with a comment!
Anyway, enough of my talking.
Please enjoy this chapter to the fullest and don't forget to vote, comment, etc!

~~Third Person POV~~
"Souls of worth...," Claude mumbled as he poured a few egg yolks into a bowl and began whisking them. The triplets, still having the spear going through their skulls, walked backwards in a perfect line carrying other ingredients. "Luscious souls... If souls do vary in taste, a soul like Ciel Phantomhive's, obsessively pursued by a demon..."
Sebastian flung loose batter at Claude, hitting his glasses and one side of his head as he stared up at Ciel.
"Oh, do excuse me," Sebastian said with a smile, clearly having done it on purpose. "The way you looked up at my young master concerned me. The way you seemed to be assessing his soul's flavor..." Claude flung batter at Sebastian, who dodged it easily and flung some back in return. The two continued to throw batter back and forth at each other from the side, neither hitting the other. Viscount Druitt watched in awe from the spectator's box.
"Make other dinner plans, you won't lay a finger on my master's soul or give him any lip either," Sebastian spat coldly as he glared at Claude. He slammed his bowl down as he ran out of batter, getting hit by Sebastian's batter on his apron. Statues made of batter had formed beside either butler during their passive aggressive fight.
"Oh bravo!," Viscount Druitt exclaimed at the statues.
"What a pointless display," Ciel muttered. His thoughts drifted briefly to his children and Claire. His children weren't very old, leaving Ciel anxious being away from them even though they were with their mother. His attention was drawn away from his thoughts by the butlers presenting their dishes to their masters.
"Today's tea features puits d'amour, crème pâtissière and raspberry jam in a pastry made of pie dough, accompanying Mariage Frères Eros tea," Claude presented. Ciel has been so lost in thought he did not recall moving to the large table.
Alois opened his mouth expectantly for Claude to feed him. Claude knelt beside him and carefully fed him the dessert and Alois hummed in thought. Viscount Druitt, on the other hand, very quickly dropped his fork and stuttered for what to say.
"E-E-E-E-Excellent!," he exclaimed. "This puits d'amour pairs rich cream with the tartness of raspberry in a satiny ensemble one could justly call the Silk Road of flavor! I thirst for more—yes, how I thirst! I travel the Taklamakan Desert of the palate! Could you be flavor's Marco Polo?!" He was nearly in tears by the end of his monologue before taking his seat once more for Sebastian's presentation.
"Forêt noire, layers of chocolate sponge cake and cherry compote dressed with white cream," Sebastian explained as he served the dessert before pouring the tea. "It accompanies a superfine Keemun tea I had sent to us from the Qing Empire's Anhui Province."
