~~Ciel's POV~~
"So, Grell, you've been pulling the strings behind the scenes, eh?", Sebastian asked the red headed man while holding up silverware as a defense against the other man's weapon.
I guess I'll be buying more silverware... again...
"I've pulled nothing more than the red strings of fate that connect our hearts together, Bassy! Like the new pet name? I thought it suited you better than Sebas-chan!", Grell declared as Sebastian finally jumped out of the way of Grell's weapon before bringing the back of his heel down on Grell's head as he glared at him with a mix of annoyance and disgust. Grell dropped his weapon and fell to his knees before grabbing his head and standing back up and looking at Sebastian with wide eyes. "How could you?! I'm so dainty!!"
"Now, now, don't act so offended", Sebastian said calmly, smiling once again as he straightened the collar of his coat. "You struck first."
"I JUST TOOK AN AFFECTIONATE SWIPE AT YOU OUT OF EXCITEMENT!! I DIDN'T MEAN ANY HARM BY IT, I WAS ONLY FOLLOWING THAT PIG!!", Grell defended before pointing in the direction Mrs. Turner had ran. She was leaving nothing but fire and destruction in her path and Sebastian looked in the direction Grell was pointing.
"You're after her too?", Sebastian asked as I finally decided to step in.
"You're acquainted with this freak, then?", I asked. Grell looked back at me questioningly.
"Regrettably, yes", Sebastian replied. "His job is to collect the souls of the deceased. He's a grim reaper."
"A grim reaper? It sounds as if you and he might have something in common", I remarked with a bit of a smirk. Grell gave me another questioning look before only lifting a brow with a small smirk of his own.
"Really?"
"There has been a recent spade of crime. I imagine that's what brought him here. The sudden increase in souls", Sebastian continued. Suddenly, Grell got very close to Sebastian's face.
"I'm sure my work load will decrease with you on the case, Se-bas-tian", Grell pronounced the sections of Sebastian's name individually as he poked his chest and smiled a bit suggestively. "At last our adventure can begin anew!!" Sebastian glared at him with disinterest before moving aside to allow Grell to fall to the pavement with a thud. That is, before another explosion was heard.
"We don't have time to fool with him!", I declared as Sebastian continued to dodge Grell's advances. "Let's go!" As I ran down the alley once again, Sebastian followed me.
"Yes, sir."
As we emerged onto the street, it was clear Mrs. Turner had been down it as every building and piece of debris was burning. As Sebastian followed me, I could tell that he was suddenly stopped by Grell as I heard an 'ah ah ah!' from behind me. However, I ignored the exchange behind me and continued running after Mrs. Turner. The screams of the dying and injured could be heard all around as I ran through the burning streets of London. Little did I know that the fire from her camera wasn't just burning the people alive. It was burning their souls with them.
I had lost Mrs. Turner while running after her around Big Ben. The officers were trying to evacuate civilians and kept telling people there was nothing to see and to keep moving.
"Where did you go, Turner?", I asked no one in particular. As I was standing there, I noticed the same shiny silver particles of magnesium oxide in the air that Mrs. Turner used to set fire to everything in her path. I looked up towards where they were coming from and my gaze landed on none other than Big Ben itself, leading me to conclude that she was up there. "Up there! She'll burn everything!" I ran straight towards the door to Big Ben and I couldn't help but think that if she managed to set fire to everything from up there, then it wouldn't matter where those men had taken Claire because nowhere would be safe. As I rounded a corner in the stairwell, the particles outside the window at the corner ignited and the explosion knocked me into the stone wall opposite the window. I let out a grunt of pain as I hit it and stayed there for only a moment before running up the stairs again, leaving my hat and cane behind.
