I was still reeling from my mother's revelation that both Herma and I now carried a life inside us. How though, it couldn't have been from last night, that would be too soon. My mind was reeling as my father took me to the realm of Tartarus that I would now rule over since receiving my Goddess powers. It was just past Styx, the river of the dead, I could see the confused lost souls as we approached. I felt some wanted to go back to the surface, others were too afraid to pass on to the other realms of Tartarus, and some were just plain confused. There was no organization here, no wonder all the souls were sent to be tortured and burned, I could feel that some of these souls were good.
"I'm supposed to make the decisions for all of them" My father looked back at me, giving me one of his rare smiles.
"If there's anyone who has the best judgment in people, it's you" I shook my head, I didn't agree with that, I made a lot of stupid mistakes.
"Don't doubt yourself, you earned your Goddesshood, you may have gone crazy in the middle there, and you were a brat of a teenager, but you love and fight hard against a destiny that was sure to destroy, Olympus, Hades, and the world" My eyes bucked as my father fed me these compliments, he put his arm around me and kissed my forehead.
"I'll never be able to make it up to you for not protecting you from Ares twice, but I'll make sure that if he ever even looks at you wrong again, I'll kill him, we have to go to Olympus to celebrate your new God powers, which is going to be hard since your Grandfather and Uncle want to kill you, but you showed that the spell Aphrodite and your mother placed on you is real, so no God will ever try to harm you again" I nodded my head and didn't really care about having to go to Olympus. I no longer feared Zeus or his cumstain Ares, nor his sons. I could imagine Hera, Hestia, and Poseidon were angry as well.
"I believe a lot of Gods hate me now"
"Just means you're a kick ass Goddess, they all hate me too" I laughed at my father as he showed me towards a dark cavern. Did he really think I would live here?
