"We'd be so sad, if we weren't always laughing"

Jacelynne was leaving today, she packed her bags for rehab and we ate a quiet breakfast I prepared; waffles, fruit, yogurt, muffins and bacon. She had her hair tied in a bun and wore one of my black shirts and a pair of leggings.
We took turns watching the clock and when noon hit we knew it was time to go. I stood up and when she began bringing her dishes in the kitchen I told her to stop. She nodded slightly and we left.
The car ride would have been mostly silent if it weren't for the radio. The announcer said something that caught her attetion, she turned it up. "Local Vancouver band: Ramsay Fiction released a chart topping single, Playing Dead. The band broke up after releasing the single, and guitarist Matt Webb came in to talk to us and said 'Josh has some personal things to deal with, when he gets that sorted out we'll go back to making our music as fantastic as it was, but better. I know he'll do the right thing' Looks like Josh Ramsay is getting some heat from his fans, everybody wants him to get better and we hope he does the right thing. Here's Playing Dead"
The music began playing and Jacelynne began to sing softly I joined in soon and we were jamming to my music together. When the song ended we were smiling, she grabbed a USB key out of her pocket and put it in the radio. "Shallow" began to play and I laughed.
"You really weren't kidding when you said you liked my music were you?" I chuckled
"No, you're really good and I think you could actually make a career out of this Josh" she said seriously.
"You think?"
"I do"
"I wrote a song for you Jace, for you and Taylin"
"Let's hear it" we pulled to the side of the road.
"It's called Primetime" I began to sing to Jacelynne and she grinned broadly "And I smile like ritalin, the razor and me"
She smiled larger with every line I sang for her. When I finished she was near in tears "That was amazing, thank you"
When we reached the small building that would become her home for months, I picked up her bags and we walked in.
"Hello, this is Jacelynne and we're here to sign her in for the 8 month session" I say warily.
"Yes, of course. You are?"
"Josh Ramsay, her legal guardian for the time being"
"Of course Mr. Ramsay, her room will be 221 and she'll be staying for 8 months and 1 day. If the program states she needs more time, she will recieve more time. You may phone but no visits please"
"Understood" I nod, I sign the paper.
"Jacelynne will have 10 minutes for goodbyes"
"Okay, thank you"
"Jacelynne, I will see you when you get out if you still want to see me. If not, you're legal age to move out on your own"
"Josh" she sobs, I hold her tightly to my chest.
After a few minutes she calms down, I ask. "Jacelynne what's wrong?"
"I'm pregnant"
