Have you ever been in love? {Chapter Nine}

Cody’s POV

What the hell am I doing?

I can’t kiss her.

I quickly backed away.

This just doesn’t feel right…

I don’t even know if I like her or not.

Maggie looked at me confused.

I looked down at my feet.

It’s too early to like her…right?

“What was that about, Cody?” Maggie asked.

“Nothing.” I quickly said.

I looked at Maggie.

Her face was full of emotions.

Angry, sad, and confused.

“Um, I’m going to wake up Jake, Josh, and Campbell…” I said, heading for the door but not taking my eyes off of her.

She nodded.

“You go do that.” She said, disappointed.

I don’t know why she would be disappointed. She doesn’t like me, right?

I hope I made the right decision.

I walked out of Alli’s room, and into mine. I found Jake still sleeping on the floor. I walked over to him and slapped his face lightly. He didn’t move.

I silently laughed.

I bent down and put my mouth to his ear.

“Jake! The world is ending! Get up! HURRY!” I yelled as loud as I could.

Jake jumped up in the air crashing his head into my lip. I felt my eyes water from the pain. I suddenly tasted blood. I ran to the bathroom holding my mouth. I looked into the mirror and found that my left front tooth was chipped, and my lip was bleeding. I could already feel my lip getting bigger and bigger.

I turned around to go out of the bathroom but I bumped into Jake.

“Mate, are you okay?” He asked, holding his head probably in pain.

“I have a chipped tooth and my lip is swelling up.” I said, trying not to taste the blood as I talked.

“Sorry!” Jake said.

“Nah. You don’t have to be sorry. It was my fault. I shouldn’t have woken you up that way.” I said, laughing.

Jake laughed.

“I think we should take you to the dentist…” Jake said.

“That’s where I was headed actually.” I said, laughing at how Jake always says what I’m thinking.

“Let me come with you.” He said, walking down the stairs.

I followed.

Campbell was sleeping on the couch while Josh was in the kitchen eating cereal.

“Josh, we’re going to the dentist. We’ll be back later. Call us if you need anything.” I said, grabbing the car keys off of the counter.

“What happened?” Josh asked.

“Jake’s head chipped my tooth.” I said, laughing.

“Cody’s tooth hurt my head.” Jake said, smirking.

“Ok. See ya lates!” Josh said.

I slid on my shoes and watched as Jake did the same.

He opened the door and we both walked to my car in silence. He got in the front seat while I got into the drivers seat (obviously).
