It's been almost two years since Calum broke up with you. Two years since he told you to pack your stuff because he found somebody else. Because he found somebody he loved. Someone he would do anything for. Someone who wasn't you.

For months, all you did was cry yourself to sleep and re-watch your favorite movies over and over. For months, the only question going through your head was, 'What does she have that I don't?' For months, your life was one of those cliché movies, where the heartbroken girl doesn't think she'd ever find love again.

And they did, but with the same guy that broke their heart. The same guy that had no trouble ripping their heart out of their chest and throwing it on the ground. Stepping on it over and over again until it was broken, until it was a million little pieces that would fly away with a soft exhale of a breath. Until it was nothing but dust that slipped through your hands every single time you attempted to pick it up. Until no one could repair, no one but them themselves.

But they found love again. Despite the feeling of emptiness, despite the pain they went through, they found love again. They found love with the same person that made them believe that love was nothing but a myth. The same person that despite the promises of forever and always, broke their heart in the cruelest way possible.

And that was where your cliché movie life ended. Because you didn't get back together with Calum. You didn't have a magical wedding with him after realizing he was the love of our life. After he realized that he was wrong and that he could never love anyone the way he loved you. You didn't have a happily ever after, with a big house and a happy family.

But you did fall in-love again, with Noah, with someone who understood you in ways that others never did. Someone made you feel safe, someone who loved you for you.

Everyone said that the only reason you were dating him was because he just like Calum. Maybe they had somethings in common, but they were different in so many ways.

Calum made you feel safe and secure. He made you feel loved, but only at times. There were times, especially in the beginning of your relationship, when you felt as if he didn't love you, as if he wouldn't do anything to protect you.

But Noah always made you feel safe and loved. For some reason, you trusted him completely, even from the start of your relationship. Which was weird for you because ever since you were a little kid, you had trust issues. Noah helped you live your dream, even though it meant you two would barely see each other. And he always made time to see you, or call you, even text you, which was hard for him, since he was almost always shooting for a new movie. But he made time for you, something Calum rarely did.

You and Noah had just announced your relationship, after a year and a half of keeping it from everyone, and you had just started recording for your debut album. You were almost done recording for the day, and had just been given a small break, when you got a call from Noah.

"Hey, babe. I'm almost done for the day. Are you going to meet me at our place? Or do you have to stay late again?" You asked him, picking up a water bottle.

"Hey baby. Um, I'm already at our place and your ex-boyfriend is sitting on our front steps refusing to leave until he speaks to you. You know what that's about?" He asked, you could tell he was pissed, annoyed even.

"Um. I don't know what that's about, but I'm almost done, just, don't talked to him, and please, please, don't kill him." You breathed into your phone. You heard someone calling you back into the recording booth. "I have to go, but I'll be there soon, I promise. Just don't make the neighbors call the cops, again."

You heard him signed on the other end, "I'll try." You scoffed at him, making him laugh. "See you later, babe."

'(Y/N), baby I'm sorry. Plea-'you heard Calum say in the distant.
