Chapter 19
He looks matched Nicole's. They had similar smiles, they truly were a father and daughter. Natahalia stared right at Demetrius as he was holding his granddaughter. "When was born?" Demetrius asked. "About a week ago." Natahalia replied.
Demetrius didn't like the looks his daughter was giving him, and he blamed Marísol. She kept him away from his girls for way too long. Natahalia should be happy and comfortable with him, not having all guards up with him.
"So when did you get out of prison?" Nathalia questioned. She heard rumors that he was out, but Marisol kept insisting that he was still in prison. "I've been out for 5 years now." Corrupted jail system.
"I was thinking that we should hang out." Demetrius stated. "You know you can come over to my house and we can do whatever." Natahalia rolled her eyes, no way she was doing that. "Yeah, we'll see." Natahalia popped the gum in her mouth. "Do you have a problem?" Natahalia laughed, "No Demetrius, I'm fine." Demetrius shook his head, his daughter was lying. "Why do you hate me?" "Why were out of my life? I needed a Dad so many times and I never had one! Do you know how it hurt when Nayla would go to the park and have fun with Dominic and how I longed for that with my dad, but my dad was in jail?" "I always asked to see you and Nicole, but your mom never let me."
'Bullshit. Why does he continue to lie?'
"Whatever, Demetrius." "Nat, your mom kept us away from each other." He revealed. "Your mom, she had restraining orders for no reason. She would call the police to keep me away. Her exes would come, threatening me. Marísol isn't a saint like she has herself being."
Natahalia pondered a couple seconds. 'I swear there's two different stories, when it come to them.' "Okay." Natahalia said as she took Nevaeh back into her arms. "Please, Nattie, stay in contact with me." Demetrius pleaded. She was his only daughter left and she meant everything to him now.

The crime scene investigators were full on investigating Nicole's death. They were collecting evidence, and taking tests, checking for DNA. Only thing that was stopping them was the final report of her autopsy. "She must have been a prostitute." One stated. In her clothes and bag, money was found and then the killer intended to lure in her, by paying her.
"So we're dealing with another prostitute murdered by one of her clients?" Another asked. They nodded. "I guess one of the clients was a female." One showed the baggie that had the long black hair in it. "Looks like we're heading in the right direction." They all agreed. Nicole was going to get justice, DNA never lies.
