Chapter 24 (Finale)
"No! No! No!" Nayla charged out of the bedroom in anger. "No one ever listens to me!" She yelled as Natahalia reached for her sister's hand. Natahalia found herself so confused about the situation occuring right now. 'I heard Nayla say millions of times how she wanted to leave, so when she gets the opportunity to do so, now she wanna act like she never said that and she wanna stay. What the hell?'
Nayla sat on the front porch like she was the meanest kid on the planet, but she really upset. "What's your problem?" Elena sat down next to her youngest grandchild. "I thought you wanted to leave?" "I do, but with everyone, I wanted my dad, Nattie, the baby, you, mommy and Nikki." Nayla wiped the tears coming from her eyes. Mentioning Nicole and her dad was still a touchy subject.
"Now baby, your mother is staying with me, she's going to keep me company and then in the next couple years we'll be moving out there with you guys. I promise that before you enter high school we'll be out there in suburbs. Okay?" Elena made the deal with her granddaughter. Nayla accepted.
It was more comforting to know that her mom and grandma were going to be together, but she just couldn't get over the fact that her father was now a sex offender and he would be away for a long time. "I'll miss you, Gamma." "We won't be separated for long, you'll be visiting me all the time."

This was the last day in Chicago, Natahalia needed to say her goodbyes even though she would be back soon. Even though, she had lots of hard feelings towards him, she wanted to say her goodbyes, byes to her father. He lived in a nicier area, actually one of the best, it suprised Natahalia. Natahalia knocked on the door, slightly struggling holding the car seat and Nevaeh's diaper bag. "Hey, come inside." Demetrius took the car seat and lead Natahalia inside.
Demetrius light up as he saw his granddaughter. Nicole and Natahalia were his only children, other than that he had a nephew he takes care of and plans to adopt. "Who's the boy?" Natahalia noticed pictures of him around the living room. "My nephew, Derrick, he lives with me. Been taking care of him since he was partically a baby. He plays basketball, he's the same age as you." "Cool. I guess I'll come watch him play, sometimes." Natahalia sat down observing the much of the house she could see. She was impress. Demetrius had the house baby proof and every tidy, this was better than Marisol's home.
"So I heard you're moving out the city?" Demetrius asked as he poured lemonade into two glasses. "Yeah, this current situation isn't good for me or Nevaeh." Natahalia answered. "Where are you going? Who are you staying with?" "Out to the suburbs and with my cousins." Demetrius nodded. He didn't like the idea, but he understood why Natahalia was doing it. "I promise I'll come back and visit. If you want I'll even come over for Thanksgiving and have dinner with you and Derrick." Natahalia promised. Demetrius chuckled and hugged his daughter for the 1st time. It was sad, Natahalia was already a mother and this was the 1st time she was being hugged by her own father. "I love you, dad." Natahalia managed to say those 3 words. Those 3 words were the words Demetrius waited so long to hear. "I love you more, Nat."

Johanna and Natahalia finished placing two more boxes in the trunk as Nayla gave her mother one last hug. "We'll be back Labor Day Weekend." Natahalia said as securely placed Nevaeh inside of the car. "Well call me after school tomorrow." Marísol said as both of her daughters got into the car. Natahalia agreed as Johanna started the engine.
It made Natahalia relieved to realize that her own daughter won't have to deal with Dominic or be in these dangerous streets of Chicago, as Johanna was driving out of Chicago. Natahalia turned around to see Nayla looking out the window. Nayla was such a bright girl, just like her other sisters she was seemed to be different and often teased, but now she's heading somewhere where her inteligence would be praised and not used against her.
"You'll love your new school." Johanna told Natahalia.
"I will?"
Johanna nodded. "One of the best in the area and there's a daycare in the school to watch Nevaeh for you during the day." Natahalia liked what she was hearing, if she would have known sooner than she would have moved quicker.

I wrote the last words on her notebook paper as Natahalia took a bite of her frozen yogurt. "This might be a successful story. Thanks pal." I said with confidence. I've been a writing many years and I would make up all kinds of story, but never something like this in this degree. "I want more people to know about my sister's story. It might help others. And of course anything for a friend." Natahalia replied.
Natahalia had been out here in Naperville for a while now. Johanna and I had been friends since we were young and I was the 1st person introduced to her. It had been 2 years since they moved out here, meaning Nicole had been gone for 2 years and Natahalia was about to head into her senior year of high school. She surprised many, she ended up on the honor roll rest of sophomore and junior year, while raising Nevaeh, and let me tell you that Natahalia is one of the best teen moms I've seen. Nevaeh is such a great toddler and such a joy to be around.
The door opened and Johanna came in with a stack of books in her hands. "So what did I miss?" She asked as she checked her makeup. Typical Johanna. "Everything. We were just about to remember when I started school out here." Natahalia said throwing her grape at Johanna.
"Oh should we mention how the school was huge and you got lost for the 1st couple days?" Johanna mentioned. Natahalia rolled her eyes as I laughed. These two are something, I swear. "Or mention how the same guy asked out both of us in the same week." Natahalia chuckled. I couldn't help but laugh, Nattie had one laughs, but Johanna didn't take as lightly. She was chuckling, but as much as us. "Shut up heh heh." Johanna replied.
At the end of the day, Natahalia came from a devastating situation. Usually some kids would be bitter and angry, it's probably one of the reasons why so many kids turn to violence in Chicago, but Natahalia refused too. She acknowledge the problem and now made a resolution. It's a great feeling to tell you that Natahalia and Nevaeh are both healthy and happy. But it's also great that Natahalia never forgets where she comes from and that Nicole is always in her heart.
Epilouge will be posted in a couple days. So sad it's coming to an end and there will be no sequel :-( but I'll give a little transcript to my new series, Northbrooke High Series: Drama High in the epilouge and that can be your new fav story of course after Natahalia's Song!
