Natahalia and Nayla walked through observing the nice townhouse Marísol had bought for her and her mother . Finally, they moved away from Chicago. Chicago was emotionally draining especially when Sabrina and Dominic went on trial. Dominic was tried twice, one for destroying evidence of Nicole's murder and second for rape.

Natahalia was lucky that her principal let her out of school during that time, she didn't need to be the talk of the school. Nothing angered Marísol than seeing Sabrina and her lying all about her daughter. Nicole was far from what she was explaining, Nicole wasn't no saint but she wasn't what Sabrina described.

The jury didn't even give Sabrina mercy. That confession recording sealed her fate and she was sentenced to 60 years to life in prison. She'll never see daylight again. Natahalia held Nayla close as the judge determined Dominic's fate. Nayla hated what her father did, but she would never stop loving him. "Dominic Ford, I sentence you to 5 years for destroying evidence and then 25 years for 1st degree rape."

Natahalia excused Nayla out as Nayla broke down outside the courtroom. "I don't wanna see him ever again!" Nayla cried. Outside Derrick and Demetrius sat and they came over to comfort Nayla. "It's okay Nayla, it's hard to lose a father, but just because he's gone, that doesn't mean you won't have one. I'll be here for you." And from that day on Demetrius kept his promise. Natahalia, Nayla and Derrick were his children.

Natahalia let 2 year old Nevaeh let loose in the townhome they were looking at with Marísol. Marísol had found a nice townhome for her and her mother to stay in and it was minutes from where Natahalia was staying now. "This is really nice." Natahalia complimented the house. Everything in life was going perfect for her, just what she wanted, she never was happy in her life in Chicago, but now, Natahalia couldn't be happier.

"How's the college applications?" Marísol questioned. Johanna was going to Northern Illinois, but Natahalia hadn't decided she really like Northwestern and is definitely qualified. "You know I'm not sure yet, but as long as my daughter will be okay, I'm good." Natahalia replied smiling as Nevaeh walked over and gave her mother the orange ball.

Nazir never gave up the "gang" life and he found himself in deep trouble when he was arrested with possession of drugs in his car. Natahalia was distraught that Nazir wouldn't be in Nevaeh's life, but she was relieved that Nazir was taken off the street. If only the police could ger even more off.

Elena looked back and wished that that she wouldn't have brought her family to the city, but instead the suburb. Although she wishes Nicole was still around she was happy that her death got her family out of the dangerous streets and into a new life. Besides not all songs end sad, many always end on a good tune.
