Beep, beep, beep.

I let out a groan.

Beep, beep, beep.

Shut up, I yelled in my head, pulling the covers further over my head to muffle the sound.

Beep, beep, beep.

I shot up from the bed, giving the alarm a death glare.

Beep, beep, beep.

"Shut up!" I yelled out at the alarm, before yanking the cord out of the wall.

My door almost slammed the wall when it opened, but it stopped just short. My brother, Nathan, stood at the door.

"Shhhh, Akemi, Mom and Dad are still asleep." He said, kind of like he was scolding a kid. Well, I kind of am a kid to him.

Nathan's a couple years older than me, he's in eleventh grade, meaning he's three years older than me. He has dark brown hair and blue eyes. His skin is a white cream color. He goes to Stone Ridge, which was located a mile from the house.

Oh, sorry, I haven't introduced myself, have I? My full name is Akemi Arillia Katsura Sakura, but that's honestly too long in my opinion. I go by Akemi Katsura. I'm a student at Stone Ridge, just like my brother. I'm a straight A student, and I'm in the volleyball club. I have blonde hair and brown eyes, my skin color is just like my brothers, a white cream. Lastly, I'm thirteen years old, and I'm in eighth grade.

"Sorry." I apologize sheepishly. This was sort of a normal occurrence. Since both my parents have night owl jobs, they sleep in till eleven, but they wake up easily.

Since my brother's old enough, if we ever sleep in, he drives us. But, that's never happened, well, not this year.

"Just pay attention to your volume." He stated, I gave a slight nod before he closed the bedroom, allowing me to get dressed.

I took a glance at my alarm clock, in other words, an eardrum breaker, and looked at the time.

6:19, Fun. I stated internally, before swinging my legs over the side of my bed and walked to my closet, and pulled out a light green camisole, brown skirt, and a dark green jacket crop top with a a white fur cut at the top. I then grabbed my necklace from the nightstand. It was a normal chain with an Opal charm at the end, I sorta always wore it.

Once I changed, I grabbed my brush, which was located in my bathroom, and started to brush out my hair in the view of the mirror. Then, brushing my teeth.

Once I finished, I walked downstairs to the living room, sitting on the sofa.

How does my house look? Well, once you enter, there's a hallway that's around a yard and a half long, there's a room on either side. The left is a school room, the right side of it has cubbies for our school supplies and shoes, on the other side, there are two desks for studying. The room to the right of the hallway is a closet for jackets and umbrella's, as well as sports materials. When you pass the hallway, there's a three in one room, in the shape of an L. To the right, there's the living room, to the left, there's a kitchen, next to the kitchen is a dining and gaming room.
The stairs are located next to the living room. Upstairs, to the left, there's my parents room, to the right there's my brothers room, and at the end of the hall, there's my room. My parents have a bathroom in their room, and my brother and I share a bathroom that's connected to each of our rooms with two doors.

I took a glance at the time, 6:40.

I stood up from the sofa and grabbed my phone from its charging station. In our house, we shouldn't keep phones in our rooms, so we put them next to the T.V in the living room.

I walked into the kitchen, grabbing a bagel and eating it, then walking over to the Study.

My brother was already in there, doing a quick bit of studying for his exam.

"Oi." I said to him, grabbing his attention, "Time to go."

"Already?" He asked, looking at the time. "Oh."

I let out a slight laugh, "You ready?"

"Yeah," he said, slinging a strap from his backpack over his shoulder. I grabbed my binder and slipped my phone into a side pocket, then putting the strap around my neck.

We walked to school, talking about seemingly meaningless things and inside jokes.

"Alright, see you later," Nathan said, as he left for his first period class.

"See ya'." I said to him before he walked off.

Oh, yeah, another thing about Stone Ridge. It's a school for magic users. Everyone has magic, but they're not allowed to use it in class. It's sort of a kind of sanctuary for magic users who aren't accepted anywhere else.

I let out a slight sigh, Another boring Monday. Before starting to walk upstairs to my class, History with Mrs. Dougles' class.

I stood at the side of the hallway, waiting to be allowed in the classroom.

Moments later, Mrs Dougles had allowed the students to come in. When I entered the classroom, I noticed a girl sitting at a seat near the front of the room. She had silver hair that went to the center of her back, along with ruby red, pink eyes.

I averted my eyes from the girl and took my seat, which was next to the windows, third row back.

When I took my seat, I propped my head up with my right wrist, staring at the window.

I closed my eyes slightly, waiting to hear the bombarding amount of noise from my classmates, who normally acted like delinquents. When the noise didn't come, I let my eyes open to see what had happened.

All eyes were on the girl in the front, Staring at the new girl, huh? I let my eyes drift to her. How could you cause the delinquents to shut up? If you are doing this on purpose, please do it every single day, and I will forever be in your dept. I let out a slight laugh at my own thoughts, Mondays. I muttered internally.

Let's see, I looked at her more carefully.  She's shy, I can tell that much. She definitely doesn't like attention. I pursed my lips together in thought, so then what magic does she use?

My thoughts were cut of when Mrs. Dougles walked in.

"Well then, this is the quietest you guys have been all year." She comments, "We have a new student today if you guys hadn't noticed."

Well I'm pretty sure that's why everyone's quiet. I stated in thought.

The girl hesitantly stood up and walked up to the front of the class. Everyone watched as she walked to the front.

"H-hi my name is Kohanna, Fuyuko." She said in a noticeable stutter.

The kids who are complete idiots yelled out greetings to her, such as hi, and hello.

I noticed Mrs. Dougles point at the seat next to me, that had remained empty for half the school year.

I let my right eye visibly twitch at her action. She knows I hate to interact. She did that on purpose. MRS. DOUGLES YOU WITCH.

The girl took her seat next to me, like Mrs. Dougles had told her to, not uttering a single word.

Once again, I closed my eyes, listening to everything she said. Even if it didn't look like it.

Well this day has started as complete shit.
