I'm a horrible author. T^T I totally blanked and forgot I needed to submit another chapter so here ya go, whoever actually reads this.
By the end of the day, I had a feeling something was wrong. When the final bell rang I ran to the front gates of the school and waited. Once I saw Nathan, I pulled him over to where I was waiting.
"Woah! What's going on?"
"Have you seen Katsura since we left the nurse's office?" I asked him, something just feels wrong. Like someone trying to write a paper with the eraser end of the pencil. Also, she had said that her friend was being controlled. Wouldn't she have at least tried to catch me up on that?
"No, she usually meets me to walk home, but she hasn't shown up yet. Usually she's here before me." Maybe she's still in the nurse's office?
"Let's go check if she's in the nurses office." He grabs my wrist before running at full speed back to school. It takes all I have to one, not trip, and two, keep my stuff with me. Soon enough we're flying through the hallways as people yell at us for running into them. Once we reach the nurses office, we try and go inside to find that it's locked, but I can clearly hear voices inside.
"I guess nobody's in there." He says.
"No, I can clearly hear voices in there." He looks to me sharply, suspiciously before turning back to the door and running into it, breaking it down. I pull him up from the splinter left from the door and we run inside. Inside, the bed where Katsura was is now covered with a white sheet and the controlled one from earlier is lying across the floor. I hold a hand up to Nathan and he stops a few step away from me. I try and wave him out the door to no avail. I sigh internally before turning invisible and sneaking closer to the one on the floor. From what it seems, he's asleep and his mind is slowed. I then turn to the bed. There's clearly a lump under the sheet. As inconspicuously as possible, I lift the sheet to find Katsura asleep. Though, it must've been her voice I heard outside because her mind is racing as to prove the notion that she's asleep wrong. I return the the visible world and wave Nathan over. He steps towards me loudly and I immediately put a finger to my lips as to shush him.
Once he's quietly reached me, I point to Katsura then the broken down door. He looks to me and points at One, who's still resting on the floor. I shake my head before pointing to Katsura then the door again. He gives in and picks up Katsura as quietly as possible which was fairly quiet considering how squeaky the nurse's office beds were.
"Try to put the door back without making a lot of noise," I tell him quietly once we're back in the hallway. He puts the door back in the frame and lifts Katsura back into his arms.
"What about William?" I shake my head."He's the reason Katsura is like this in the first place." Nathan looks at me suspiciously before moving towards the entrance of the school. I realize we've spent more time in that room than I thought. School ended at three o'clock but it's now almost 3:45. Nathan starts his way home with Katsura and I decide to follow until Katsura wakes up.
After walking for about five or so minutes, Katsura stirs and opens her eyes.
Where am I? She asks.
"You're on your way home Katsura. Do you remember what happened after we left the nurses office today?" Nathan again looks suspicious and he doesn't quite understand what's going on.
I see Katsura's memory, which was dredged up after I asked my question. "Hmm, that's a difficult problem to solve Katsura. Any ideas?"
No. I don't even know what he did! What did he do to me??
"I don't know Katsura." Nathan is now looking suspiciously between his sister and I as I try and brainstorm. "Would Nathan know anything?"Hmmm he might but I don't know.
"What is happening here?!?" Nathan bursts out, "Who are you talking to and where are they? What do you think I might know?"
"I'm talking to Katsura, of course." He looks at me incredulously. I smile innocently.
"How?" I repeat my motion from earlier. I tap my head and smile. I can hear his mind reel as his desperately tries to figure out how I'm communicating with Katsura. Then he comes to it. Is her magic telekinesis?
"Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner!"
