I took a deep breath as I kept my eyes pinned on the clock that was edged on Mrs Davenport's desk, waiting in anticipation for the minutes to tick by and let the summer vacation finally commence. Everyone around me was going crazy since it was the last period before vacation and Mrs Davenport was out running some errands.
She didn't like me much.
She has been my Art teacher throughout my entire high school experience I have lived through so far. She always saw me as a challenge she wants to get rid of becuase I didn't exactly experience art like the other's did. I just didn't see her vision of art and that's what ticked her off most.
I bit my lower lip chewing off the dead skin, still staring at the clock and fiddled with a piece of paper in my hands. Out of no where I saw someone plomp into the empty seat next to me and my gaze shifted towards the mysterious person slightly startled.
"If I didn't know any better, you were totally eye fucking Mrs Davenport's clock over there." My best friend Bailey said and I smiled.
"Well hello to you too." I said and she laughed. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in History?"
"I sneaked out when Mr Harrison left when he was called into the administration's office. I was just wondering in the halls when I saw your trance like figure eye fucking the clock." Bailey said and I chuckled.
Bailey and I have been best friends ever since I can remember. Her cheerful mood always radiated around her and made everyone comfortable to communicate with her.
We were total opposites at first.
She was a goody two shoes who was always up to date with her work while I was a slacker and was too lazy to do anything during school time. Now that we've litterly grown on each other we've both changed into completely different people.
"I wasn't eye fucking the clock, I was admiring it from a far." I said and she rolled her eyes.
"Sure you were." She said and I stuck my tounge out to her which made her laugh.
The loud blaring of the school bell filled the classroom and it was like a huge weight that was lifted up from my shoulders.
"Finally!" I said while getting up and grabbing my backpack and Bailey did the same since she sneaked her backpack with her out of her class.
"A little too excited for summer?" Bailey asked.
"You have no idea!" I said as we left the classroom and head towards the exit of the school.
"Any plans for your first day of summer vacation?" Bailey asked and I shrugged.
"I'm not sure yet, but it might involve a lot of hardcore games and ice cream." I said.
When I was a freshman and just started high school I've developed this undying love for video games. This guy in my class wouldn't shut up about this awesome YouTuber that plays video games for a living and when I started watching his videos, he had such a big impact on me which left me loving games more than I should.
Everyone told me it was an unhealthy obsession and it's a thing guys would normally love. I didn't really care about all the comments I've received becuase gaming was one of my passions and no one can really tell me I shouldn't do it.
"Mind if I join your little gaming fiasco?" Bailey asked and I raised an eyebrow.
"Did I hear this correctly? This is a first coming from you." I said and Bailey smiled.
"I'm only going for the ice cream and plus I have absolutely nothing to do." She said and I laughed.
"I should've known." I said as we pushed through the school doors and headed towards the parking lot.
