"Dude, do you think Reece was serious about joining the party?" Bailey asked as we entered my house and went down to the basement making sure that we weren't followed.
"I don't know. I think it depends if Rach decides to finally give him some attention, then I think he won't go." I said as I plomped on my usual spot on the couch.
"Wouldn't it be kind of weird to have him there? I mean he's going to be like the oldest person there." Bailey said joining me on the couch.
"What about your parents?"
"They're going to the Hamptons for the weekend. Which means you're going to be staying with me for the weekend and we're both up for cleaning duty afterwards." Bailey said and I groaned.
"Why do I have to be part of clean up duty?"
"Becuase I scored you a date with the love of your life!"
"Yeah well I didn't ask for it."
"You didn't have too. It was something I knew you wanted." Bailey said smugly and I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever... And technically it's not a date. We're just attending the same party." I said and she shrugged.
"A date... Attending the same party... It's all the same to me." She said with a smug smile and I raised an eyebrow.
"How old are you, four?" I asked and she gave me a wink.
"I'm the best four year old you can get." she said and I smiled.
"How's things with Scott going?" I asked and a blush slightly lit up her cheeks.
"It's going great actually." She said.
"Yeah? Give me some deats Bee."
"Well... That night you and Adam left us it was like this huge weight being lift off of our shoulders. I know it sounds bad, but I thought I was going to be so nervous to be alone with him when actually I think we needed it all along." She said and I grinned.
"I told you, you had nothing to worry about." I said and she giggled.
"Yeah... I should listen to you more often." She said and I rolled my eyes.
"So what did you guys do the rest of the night?"
"Well, he took me to a restaurant becuase both of us were quite starved and then he took me for a night stroll. Phoenix it was perfect. I know it sounds plain and everything, but it truly was the best night ever. When we arrived at the beach he just started complimenting me and he kissed me for the first time and I felt-"
"Waoh, you guys kissed for the first time then?" I asked and Bailey frowned.
"What? You think we kissed before?"
"Bee, don't get me wrong. I love you both to death, but even Adam thought you guys liplock every minute you got alone. That's why I thought you were so afraid to be alone with him. You know kissing leads to an overly heated make out session and then BAM! I become a God mother the next day hearing my best friend has a fetus growing inside of her!" I said and Bailey laughed.
"Phoenix you take thing over the extreme sometimes."
"What can I say? I'm a hopeless melodramatic." I said and she rolled her eyes.
"Whatever."

"Bullshit!" I spat as I saw the slight twitch at the corner of Reece's mouth as he placed a card on the table in front of us.
