Kaylie Princeton

Flashback:

"Kaylie!" I heard a loud, masculine voice roar through the house. "Where the hell is my breakfast?"

Gasping, I sat up in a panic. I had forgotten to make Father is breakfast! Today he would want it more since he was hung over from last night.

I scrambled out of bed, and ran downstairs. "I'm sorry! I overslept, I can make it now."

His cold eyes, glared down at me. "Pathetic girl. Ever heard of an alarm?" He sneered, a smirk played on his lips. "You deserve to be punished, to learn a lesson."

"Please! Let me make you your breakfast, don't hurt me again." I pleaded, hopefully looking up at him.

But what good would pleading him not to beat me? Nothing. He was angry, and I was his target.

"Shut up. You deserve hell for killing your mother." Father shoved me against the fridge, my breath hitching in my throat.

I didn't dare to speak; it would be useless. I closed my eyes, preparing for the beating.

"You're a worthless piece of shit who took away my only happiness." I could hear him growl into my ear as he grabbed a fistful of my hair. He brought his knee up and kneed me in the groin.

I groaned, the pain was almost unbearable. "Screw you." I mumbled.

"Oh? Screw me?" Father gave me a sickly smile, slapping my cheek roughly. He grabbed my jaw, and forced me to look at him. "If that's what you want, then you'll get it."

My eyes widened as he began to slip his pants off...

I woke up, hearing someone shaking my shoulder. "Kaylie! Oh my god, wake up baby." My Aunt was looking down at me.

"I'm up!" I looked up at her, giving her a small smile. "I'm okay, Auntie."

She gave me a small smile, walking towards the door. "Alright. Breakfast is ready. Don't forget you have school today, sweetheart."

I groaned, running my fingers through my hair. Today was my first day of my new school, ever since I moved in with my Aunt and Uncle. My father had been abusing me ever since my mom died when I was 12. He's been abusive and an alcoholic for years.

I despised school. Most teenagers do, but my reasons were different. I couldn't let anyone know about my father, so I had no friends. Which actually sucked ass.

Once I got out of bed, I walked into my walk-in closet. My aunt and uncle were very rich people, so I was able to get a large room and new clothes. Picking out an outfit, I bit my lip softly. I shrugged, throwing on a pair of black highwaisted shorts, a white crop top and white converses. My hair was pin straight, falling to the middle of my back. I had blonde hair that reached my back, almost towards my hips. My hazel eyes are no longer dull, do to the fact that I am now father free.

"Kaylie! You're going to be late!" My Aunt yelled from downstairs.

I rolled my eyes. When am I not late?

Laughing to myself, I ran downstairs. "Bye, Aunt Jean!" I smiled at her, running out to my car.

Pulling into the school parking lot, I took a deep breath.

Okay, you can do this Kaylie.

I hopped out of the car, looking around me. Kids were scattered around the front steps, while some were already inside.

I bit my lip softly. How the hell do I make friends?

Walking into school, I groaned. Someone must have heard my groan, because I small brunette was standing behind me.

"Hi! My names Grace. You must be new?" Grace giggled, smiling at me.

Wow, this wasn't that hard. I flashed her a smile. "Kaylie Princeton."

Grace grabbed my hand, dragging me towards the office, I assumed.

"We're going to be good friends! I'll introduce you to my other friends, and show you around school today." She stopped in front of a door. "Go in and get your schedule. I'll be waiting out here."

I nodded, opening the door. I walked towards the lady at the front desk, giving her a small smile. "Hi, my names Kaylie Princeton. I'm new here, this is my first day."

"Oh, Kaylie! So nice to meet you. Here's your schedule, dear. Let me know if you need any help with anything." She told me, smiling,

I walked out, looking at Grace.

"Oh my gosh, you won't believe what just happened!" She gasped, pointing towards the end of the hallway.

"What?" I raised my eyebrows, shaking my head at her.

"Dylan just told Hunter off!" Grace grinned, dragging me towards where the two boys were fighting.

I glanced down at my shoes. I hated fighting. "Do they do this often?" I mumbled, looking over at Grace.

She shrugged, not realizing how uncomfortable I was. "Nah, only occasionally."

Hunter had blonde hair, and seemed tall. He was muscular. I couldn't see the color of his eyes from the way he was standing.

Dylan had brown hair and was very tall and fit. As I continued to look at him, his face turned towards mine as he stared back at me.

I saw the color of his eyes; green. And with that, the world seemed to stop.
