"Where were you?" His voice echoed throughout the house as I walked through the front door at quarter to eleven.
I still had my nice dress on, but instead was holding onto Dylan's leather jacket.
"Um, I went out. You know after you left me at the restaurant alone?" I threw the jacket down on the top of the couch, crossing my arms across my chest as I stared at Kaiden.
He had changed out of his clothes and now had on grey sweatpants and a white polo t-shirt.
"Who drove you home?" Kaiden looked down at me.
"Jesus, what is this? Twenty questions?" I rolled my eyes, leaning my back against the counter. I avoided most of his questions, knowing that Kaiden gets jealous easily.
Kaiden narrowed his eyes at me. "I'm sorry, I just wanted to see who you were with."
Shaking my head, I grabbed the coat off the counter. "If you cared, you wouldn't have left me at the restaurant."
I ran my fingers through my long blonde hair.
"Who's coat is that?"
I turned around and looked at him. "None of your business."
My bedroom door slammed shut as I walked inside my room. I threw my shoes off, along with my dress. Instead, I got changed into a pair of black leggings and a sweatshirt from Pink.
I looked at my phone, seeing Dylan still hasn't texted me. I frowned. Did he use me?
No... He doesn't seem like that kind of guy.
My alarm went off at 8:30 the next morning, allowing me to wake up and realize I have work today at 10.
I decided to give myself an hour and a half so I could get dressed, do my makeup, get a Starbucks and get to the gym.
I threw on a pair of black athletic leggings and a red Tommy Hilfiger sports bra. My long blonde hair was pin straight as I through it up into a perfect ponytail. The ponytail reached my mid back.
I checked my phone as I grabbed my car keys. Still no text from Dylan. I shrugged. It's whatever, right?
Kaiden was still sleeping, thank God. I wasn't in the mood to deal with him this morning.
I opened the garage door and got into my white car. Plugging my phone in, I began to play my music as I backed out of the driveway.
Sighing, I stopped the car and grabbed my phone to send Kaiden a quick text.
"Went to the gym. Won't be home until 4."
Lets hope he doesn't respond to it, seeing that I needed a little space and time to clear my head. He's only here for a few more days, and I can't ignore him the whole time he's here.
As I went through the drive thru at Starbucks, I ordered myself a venti upside down Iced Caramel Macchiato.
( A/N, you guys should really try one! The milk is all mixed in instead of a regular one. Soooo good! )
Once I finished up at Starbucks, I pulled into the parking lot of the gym and got out. I checked my watch to see the time. 9:50.
Perfect, I'm on time.
I walked through the front doors, a smile on my face and my coffee in my right hand.
My boss greeted me, smiling. "Kaylie! You're here. Good. Do you mind working the front desk for a couple hours today?"
When Mr. Reed asks me to run the front desk, it usually means the gym is going to be busier than usual.
I nodded. "Yeah, I don't mind at all. Is it going to be busy today?"
Mr. Reed rolled his eyes. "Busy is an understatement. There's a big fight that's taking place this weekend, a lot of guys are going to be coming in to practice."
Setting my coffee and keys down on the front desk, I smiled at him. "Okay. After the front desk will I get to work with anyone?"
He nodded, looking down at me. "Yeah of course. A younger kid, I forgot his name but I told him someone would be working with him today since his trainer can't make it to this session."
A few hours went by as I continued to work the front desk. I had finished my coffee, yet I was still exhausted from staying up so late with Dylan last night.
"Hey." A deep, masculine voice called out to me.
I looked up, seeing a head full of brown hair.
Dylan.
"Hey, Dylan. Can I help you?" I flashed him a small smile, looking up from the desk.
"Yeah, I'm here to train with someone? My usual trainer isn't here." He shoved his hands into his pockets as he stared at me.
I bit my lip softly. "What are you training for?"
Dylan chuckled, shaking his head at me. "Oh Kaylie, I only share that information with my trainer."
I stood up, still in my black leggings and red sports bra. "Well looks like you're going to have to tell me, seeing that I am your trainer."
Okay! Hello! Sorry this is a shorter chapter, I figured I had to update to give you all a lil somethin.
