Hello everyone! Tysm for 17k reads, that's insane! I am so sorry for the slow updates, I've been super busy lately with school that my updates are so irregular :( But I loved reading all your comments, they really do make me smile! Also, I know most people do not find the model I picked to represent Kaiden attractive at all, but that is the way I felt like portraying his character and I think he suits Kaiden the best. But this is just a story and please imagine Kaiden in any way you would like (:
Again, so sorry for not updating. But please enjoy this new chapter!
- LaurenThis had to be a joke. Kaiden has only been here for what, two days, and he's already on a date with a girl? Especially after he confessed his 'love' for me.
Dylan walked up to my side as I stared at the window of the restaurant. "Kaylie, are you alright?" He looked down at me, then back at Kaiden in the restaurant.
I sighed before I nodded my head, slowly. "Yeah, I'm fine. Looks like we're going to have to find a different place to eat at." I laughed quietly.
He frowned as he heard my choice of words, and at my lame attempt to make a joke. "This situation isn't supposed to be funny, Kaylie! Your best friend told you he loves you and now you just witnessed him on a date with a completely different girl, and you're not going to do anything about it? Nothing at all?"
"What the hell am I supposed to do, Dylan? I can't just go in there with you and get mad at him for being on a date when we're on one right now!" I rolled my eyes as I shook my head before walking towards the pier to admire the beautiful sunset.
As I stopped by the railing, I heard footsteps following me.
"I can tell you're hurt by this, love. But please don't walk away from me when all I want to do is help you." He whispered as he played with the ends of my long blonde hair.
I nodded as I turned back around to face Dylan. "I know, I'm sorry."
He wrapped his big, muscular arms around my small body as he pulled me closer to his chest. "Are you even hungry after seeing that?"
I shook my head, which was resting against his chest. "I mean, I kind of am in the mood for something sweet."
Dylan smirked as he looked down at me. "I think I am too..."
I raised an eyebrow up at him. "Oh really? What kind of sweet are you looking for?"
I watched as he took my words in and carefully processed what I said.
"I'm in the mood to have the most beautiful girl on the pier tonight lips on mine." He gently grabbed my hips with both of his hands as he pushed me up against the railing gently.
My breath hitched in my throat. He just called me beautiful.
I could feel a soft blush creep up onto my cheeks as I stared up at him.
Dylan smiled at me, his large hand cupping my cheek. "Did I even tell you how beautiful you look tonight?" He mumbled as he looked me up and down.
I shook my head, completely lost for words at this point.
He chuckled as he watched me, clearly amused that I was at a loss for words.
"Can you just kiss me already?" I rolled my eyes before looking up at him.
Dylan's chest vibrated from his laugh as he shook his head. "Nope, you demanded for a kiss and ruined the moment."
I pouted as I moved away from him. "Alright, fine. But I want to get cotton candy before we leave."
"You like that crap? And you work at a gym?" He raised his perfectly sculpted eyebrow (totally unfair in my opinion) at me.
I began to walk towards the concession stand and walked up to the counter. I smiled at the worker and order pink and blue cotton candy.
Dylan walked up next to me and pulled out his wallet before I paid. "Let me pay."
I shook my head as I dug into my purse for my wallet, as well. "No, it's okay. I have my own money and a job, I can pay for myself."
"Kaylie, stop. I don't mind paying, it's only like $3 anyways." He laughed as he handed the worker 3 ones.
I kissed his cheek softly as I grabbed my cotton candy. "Well, thank you."
Dylan nodded as we walked back towards the parking lot.
Once we got closer to our cars, we stopped walking.
"Look, I'm sorry this night didn't turn out exactly how you wanted it to, but I still had an amazing time and I love being with you." He smiled down at me as I grabbed my keys to my car. "So would you want to go to a party with me next weekend?"
"I'd love to." I grinned as I looked up at him.
"Okay, perfect. Sounds like a date." Dylan sent me a wink as he opened his car door.
First a date with him and now he invited me to a party?
