"Lu~chan!"
"Levy~chan!" I run up to my blue haired best friend and give her a tight hug. Levy has been my best friend since middle school. Well, she was in middle school. I was at home sitting in our study. I've been homeschooled my whole life, so attending Fairy Tail University is my first real experience at a "public school."
"I've heard great things about this school, Lu~chan. We're gonna have such a great time here!" Levy tells me excitedly.
I nod and we walk hurriedly into the building. This is the first time I've properly seen Levy. I've talked to her through Skype but I've never got to meet her. My parents are strict on who I talk to, but they approved of Levy thankfully.
We looked around for the office building after entering the main building. Fairy Tail University was actually a lot bigger than I expected. The hallways weren't as busy and bustling as they are in those school movies. The campus itself was huge as well.
Levy and I eventually found the main office. I knocked on the door and waited for a response. Someone answered inside but it was muffled by the door. "I'm just gonna assume they said to come in," I tell Levy.
I open the door and an old man is behind the desk. "Hello," I greet. Levy follows me.
He grunts in acknowledgement. "Freshmen here, I assume?" he asks.
"Uh, yes, Mr," Levy checks the nameplate in the table. "Dreyar?"
"Mr. Makarov is fine," he says. "Names?"
"Uh, Levy McGarden," Levy says first.
Mr. Makarov flips through papers in a file box and pulls out a set of keys and some sheets of paper. "Here's your schedule, dorm keys, and other important information. Classes start tomorrow." He hands the things to Levy and she holds onto them for dear life.
"Name?" I'm too busy looking at Levy's schedule to notice him talking to me.
"Name?"
I look up. "Oh! Sorry sir," I apologize. "Lucy. Lucy Heartfilia."
Mr. Makarov flips through the box again. "Ah, Heartfilia." He hands me the things then says, "The principal told me she wanted to see you in her office when you came. It's down the hall to the right."
Levy looks at me uneasily. "Um, ok, Mr. Makarov. Thank you." I walk out of the office with my things and Levy quickly follows me. "Thank you!" she calls back and closed the door.
"Why would the principal wanna see me on not even the first day?" I ask Levy.
"I don't know, Lu~chan. Maybe a recommendation for a class or something?"
"Maybe," I ponder. "Hey, what dorm do you have?"
"Let me see..." She takes out her dorm keys and reads the number. "B17."
"Ugh," I complain, taking out my keys to do the same. "I'm in dor-" I'm interrupted by a flash of salmon pink bumping into my shoulder. "Rude..." I mutter. The mysterious figure keeps going in the opposite direction, not bothering to apologize.
"Sorry," I tell Levy, "Dorm A58."
We make it to the principal's office. "You go on in, Lu~chan," Levy says. "I'll stay out here."
I open the door, not bothering to knock. There's a lady with light blonde hair behind the principal's desk. I assume she's the principal. It'd be weird if she wasn't.
"Hello," I greet. "I'm, uh, Lucy Heartfilia. You wanted to see me?"
The principal faces towards me in her swivel chair. "Ah, yes. I'm Principal Vermillion. But most call me by my first name instead; Principal Mavis."
I nod and she continues. "I've heard great things from you," she says." Since I was homeschooled, my parents made sure I got everything right in my schoolwork. And I mean everything. Perfection is key to them, so they did all they could to make me as smart and intelligent as they possibly could.
"Now," Principal Mavis says, "there's this one student. His name is... Ah, you'll find out eventually. But I trust you can handle him as your bunkmate. That is all." She shows me out of her room and I quickly oblige. What does she mean by "handle him?"
I open the door and Levy is sitting on the bench across the hall. "So what was that about, Lu~chan?"
"She just warned me about some boy as my roommate," I explain.
"Wait, boys and girls can share the same dorms here?" she asks.
"I guess so. Let's go check it out." We walk towards the dorms.

I take out the dorm keys. "This is exciting," I say sarcastically.
"He can't be that bad, Lu~chan. Mine wasn't that bad! She looked like fun," Levy says. We had already gone to her dorm. Her bunkmate is a girl called Cana Alberona. Levy seemed excited about meeting her.
I twist the door handle and swing the door open. "Hello?" I call out.
"I think he's out, Lu~chan."
"Yeah..." I open the door fully and walk in. "I see he's claimed that bed already." I look at his side of the room.
"How is it already trashed?" Levy asks, pointing put the junk all over.
"Beats me," I say, sitting down on my bed.
"I should go unpack, Lu~chan," Levy says. "You should too. Good luck with your bunkmate!" With that, she walks out. She can't leave me to deal with this alone!
I huff hot air out and push my blonde hair behind me. I spot a white scarf on his bed, probably the only clean thing he owns. I stand up to go pick it up. I pinch it in between my thumb and pointer finger. The door clicks open.
"What are you doing in my room?"
