{5} "Don't Deny True Love!"

Ring ring. Ring ring.

My alarm goes off but in already awake to shut it off on time. In fact, I even took a shower this morning an got dressed quickly, because if Natsu hear's that I've showered already, he'll try asking if he can join, I just know it.

I grab my backpack, my books,and my phone and head out the door. I double check everything in the hallway to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything. Yep! I'm good!

"Lu~chaaaaan!" Levy runs up from behind me to catch up. "Wait for me, Lucy!"

"And me too, Luce!" a second voice calls from behind as well.

I turn around but no one's there. I turn my head back around and Levy stares just behind me. "What?" I ask her, completely clueless about the muscular arm wrapped around my shoulder.

She points to her shoulder with her pointer finger. I look down slowly. I jump and run to the other side of Levy. "WHAT THE HELŁ NATSU!" I yell at the player who had tried to get comfortable with me.

"Sorry, Luce, I thought we had something," he says smoothly. Wow, I've been saying 'smoothly' a lot. Shut up, brain, now's not the time.

"We did not. And my name's Lucy, not Luce," I state.

"But it's your new nickname!" he pouts.

At least it's better than Blondie. It's close enough to 'Lucy'. "Fine," I reply finally, giving up

"Yay!" he shows off that attractive smile of his.

Wait, what am I saying?

It's only been half the day and I already have tons of homework to do. It shouldn't take long, but it's still a lot.

Levy waves to me from the table she chose. There's two people on either side of her, looking like they're cheering for her. I walk over from the lunch line with my cold lunch and place my tray down in the table. "Hi, Levy~chan," I smile and sit down.

"Hey there, Lu~chan!" she replies happily.

I look at her waiting for her to name the two people on opposite sides of her.

"Oh!" she exclaims. "Gomen'nasai, Lucy," she apologizes (I'm sorry/sorry). This is Jet, and this is Droy. Turns out they're in most of my classes." She introduces me to her newly found friends.

"Nice to meet ya guys!" I say. "My name's Lucy."

"Hello!" they reply in unison.

"Hey! Stop copying me!" Jet argues.

"You copied me!" Droy defends.

Levy and I laugh and start on our lunch. As she opens her lunch bag, a mysterious figure walks by and she stops everything. Her jaw drops and her eyes widen.

"You llllllike him," I tell Levy.

"No!" she protests, clearly blushing. "It's not like he's in every single one of my classes..."

"OH HE IS! I CAN ALREADY TELL!" I yell excitedly.

"Shh, Lu~chan, people are staring," she hushes me.

"Oh, whoops," I say and snicker while Levy still tried to hide her tinged cheeks.

"So who was that mysterious boy at lunch?" I ask Levy after school. We're currently walking back to the dorm hallway.

"No one," she lies.

"DON'T DENY TRUE LOVE!" a second voice yells from behind. Levy and I turn around and come face to face with a white haired girl, like an older Lisanna, but with longer hair. Erza is next to her.

"Oh, gomen," she apologizes and smiles (sorry). "My name's Mirajane, but most people just call me Mira. I tend to make pairings in this school and I take it very seriously." Her face stiffens at the end.

"Well, hello, Mira," I say. "Nice to meet you. I'm-"

"Lucy!" Erza interrupts. "And yes, she takes her shipping very seriously. I wouldn't be surprised if she became a full on demon and kill someone that went in the way of her ship." She looks serious.

"O-ok, good to know!" I say, pretending that I'm not afraid of Mirajane. How can I be? She looks so nice and innocent. "Umm... I don't have any ships with me in it, do I?"

"Let me check my records," Mira places her backpack on the ground and takes a huge, bible sized book out of her bag. "Hmm... It seems you have no ship. But not for long." An evil glint stirs in her eyes.

"O-ok then. Alrighty," I say quietly.

"Anyways, freshman," Erza continues. "How are things with you and lil' Natsu over there." Mira takes out a pen and turns to a clean page in her huge book. She starts scribbling some things down.

"Y'know with the whole, incident last night." Erza smirks and looks to Mirajane. "You're writing this all down right, Mira?"

She nods in returns and keeps writing. "I mean," Erza continues, "you too were getting.... Pretty close." She whispers the last part and Mira screams out on accident. Levy stares at me with wide eyes and I just stand there shocked.

"Yup, that's enough Erza! Let's go to your room now, Levy," I say suddenly, pushing Levy~chan further down the hall and laughing nervously. "See ya guys!"

I leave Erza to deal with the trembling Mirajane. Looks like she's had her serving of ships for today.
