Masculinity

Masculinity stripped me of my identity.
Leaving me from eve feeling what it's like to be free.
Masculinity tried to mold me to be a false prophet.
Men told to be drunken with power, oh why have they lost it?
Masculinity tried to create a desire of greed.
I refuse Lucifer's seed because it's not what I need.
Masculinity tried to make a woman seem inferior.
This logic is undesirable because I am equal to her.
Masculinity brainwashed young men to a prison of hate.
Why did our fathers betray us with this unfortunate fate?
I'm sorry dearest lady, for I am breaking out this cell.
You shouldn't have to suffer for this endless hell.
I no perfect man, but I seek to understand.
That a day we can be free, when masculinity lets go of my hand.
