I crushed into someone making my whole papers fall out of my folder. I was about to curse but maintained my calm, just a little.
"fuck, I didn't see you there. You were like a freaking vampire" I screamed "please tell me you're one" I then joked.
He laughed and helped me pick my paper as he replied "Sorry, I don't really know what to say" he chuckled a little
"Well, you should be pleased if you took it as I offended you... Vampires are hot" I couldn't believe I just said that
"Well, you are not the first one to flirt with me. I should start feeling special" he laughed in a playful way
"Oh, don't flatter yourself that much. First, I wasn't flirting and second, you are not that hot. I mean, Stefan, Damon, and Edward are unbeatable" I commented
"Who are they?" He asked as he handed me my papers
"Two from vampire diaries and the other from Twilight" I replied
"You watch those stuff?" He questioned
"Not really. I did watch twilight but I wouldn't say it's my favorite movie" I responded "I would never in my life read twilight, and I do like reading books"
"I don't believe you, but it's fine if you do like them" he then added with a little smirk" I already know what to give you as a gift for your birthday"
I glared at him and put on my left headphone. I grabbed my bag and we started walking to the next class. He looked at me and then asked
"what are you listening to?" He took a quick glance at my phone
"King for a Day by Pierce the Veil feat Kellin Quinn" I replied with a little smirk
"You like Pierce the Veil?"
"Indeed, but my favorite is Sleeping with Sirens"
"oh that's great, I also like those bands. What else do you like to listen to?"
"Well, I listen to a bit of everything but I'm now more into, Of Mice and Men, Bring me the Horizon, Black Veil Brides, Suicide Silence, Asking Alexandria, Foo Fighters, the All American Rejects, and also I do admit I go in the pop side like Big Time Rush, Taylor Swift and The Wanted" I confessed
"Oh, so you have good taste in music" he smiled
"I guess so; others think it's emo shit and all. They are the shitty ones" I growled
"That's true, but don't listen to them. They think reggaeton and Cumbia are considered music" he snickered at them.
I laughed with him.
"So, in this case, I know two of the stuff that I will get you for your birthday" he winked
"Oh my god, are you going to bring me a real vampire who likes sleeping with sirens?" I mocked
"Of course and I'll bring the hottest one" he laughed "and when it's your birthday anyway?"
"Well today is Monday, the fourth, so in five days" I replied looking at the ground
"Well I hope you invite me to your birthday party," he said. I just nodded. We, then, continued walking to class. Before entering he grasped my hand softly
"You know I never got to know your name; I'm Matthew" he finally introduced himself
"I know. I'm Isabella" I smiled.
We walked inside the classroom and I felt stares. Shit, that's what I was trying to avoid. I sat next to Klaus, Sasha, and Marley
"Oh look who has a new boyfriend" Sasha joked which caused Klaus and Marley to laugh. I glared at them
"First, he is not my boyfriend, and second shut up I'm not in the mood" I frowned
"I think someone's on her days" Marley commented. I was about to respond but the teacher interrupted.
"Welcome guys, I can see some familiar faces and some new" he started "ok guys, so this is a new subject for you guys and it's called TOK or theory of Knowledge," he wrote it on the board.
We started copying some stuff he started dictating. I would turn around from time to time to see what Matthew was doing. And every time I did he would look at me and show me some vampire drawings he had made, I had to admit he was really good at it. Those drawings would make me giggle and then I would turn around again, to follow the class. I started drawing like I always did, but this time I went back to my old days, drawing people with some band t-shirts on. Which I loved to do cause I always dreamed of having a t-shirt with my favorite band on it. Suddenly I heard the bell ring. I put my pencil down and took my headphones and my cell phone out of my pocket. My friends had left again, so I, like I always liked to do, turned my music on and started walking through the door with my hands on my packet and wondering about life. Suddenly I felt someone softly grabbing my arm. I turned my head around a little and noticed it was Matthew. I took out one of my headphones.
"You should really stop doing that," I said
"I'm sorry; hey do you have anyone to be with on recess," he asked
"Well I do have my friends" I replied looking at him. He looked around and didn't see anyone.
"oh yeah, I can see one. I didn't notice her. Hi, my name is Matthew" he played as he pretended to shake hands with someone. I looked at him weirdly and then frowned.
"I know they left but it's because they are hungry" I defended them "and well why are you asking, aren't you supposed to be with those pretty popular girls, or with Duke and his friends?" I questioned
"yeah, but the only true person I really got to meet was you" he smiled. I smiled back and we started walking outside together.
