CHAPTER 3

"I LOVE YOU BABY, you know that.. RIGHT??" His voice trembled as he held on to my hands tightly.

"We are going to make it through this" I tried nodding but words failed me as I slipped into unconsciousness.

I gasped as I woke up drenched in my own sweat. I hadn't had this dream in almost one and a half year. Thinking that it must be due to the stress of my kidnapping I tried to forget it and focus on calming down my nerves.

"Here have some water", I looked up to see Evan holding a bottle of water towards me.

"They provided with some food and water. You can have some. Its kept right there", He said pointing towards my left. I nodded taking water bottle from him. I still felt a little shaky from the dream.

I looked up to find him staring at me intently. I gave him a small smile and drank the water. I instantly felt better.

I stood up upon hearing the door of the cell open. Four men and a woman entered dressed sharply in identical suits. Are they some kind of organisation or something? I mentally asked myself. It looked like they were by the way they were dressed, and they didn't even looked like kidnappers. I guess I will get all my answers later.

"I am your guide and you both have been assigned to me. And you call me Mrs. X", the lady or Mrs. X spoke.

"Why are we here?", Evan spoke from my left.

"Answers to all your question will be given shortly but first I want to lay some ground rules", She spoke in a guarded voice.

"Well we have informed both of your folks that you had to go away on an emergency business trip. So no one will be looking for you for next month or two", She said and gave us a sinister smile.

"If you both will cooperate with us, it would be easy for you both as well. Now we are going to take you both out of this cell but you must do as we say, otherwise...", She said and waved her hand, two of the men stepped forward and revealed their concealed weapon.

Well this was kind of expected! They had kidnapped us for God's sake, I did not expect a warm welcome from them and at a same time keeping us as prisoners.

I tried to keep my face neutral so as to hide any kind of fear that might have appeared on my face. I nodded.

X looked towards Evan waiting for his confirmation. I looked towards him to see him staring hard towards X. His posture rigid as if ready to fight all of them this instant. After a few moments he too nodded.

"GOOD, so let's get started then. Follow Me". X says and walks towards the door.
