I stumble off the bus and make my way to the administration. The door opens smoothly, no rust, no creaking. The lady at the front desk hands me a sheet.
"This is you locker number and your combination. Turn left, right, then head up the stairs."
I head out the door and turn left onto a brick footpath. The path is narrow, the edges stuffed with grass. I turn right and walk swiftly past a group of girls gossiping. The stairs are small and it takes quite some time to get to the top. I try to find my locker, but I can't find it. I spot the boy I helped get onto the bus. I try to avoid any eye contact. I don't want to say something stupid. I start to search for my locker number again - 2149. I takes me a while, but I finally find it. It's next to the boy. Crap.
