I take out my maths books. I never like to start the day off with maths. The teacher has called for the boy I met on the bus to do questions on the board. He doesn't look very happy. Guess he doesn't want to be here either. I should really ask what his name is.
"Hello, you must be the new girl. I'm Sakura."
I hear a sweet voice behind me. A girl with short black hair and a fringe is smiling at me. She takes a seat next to me. I must have looked frightened because the next thing she says is,
"It's okay, I won't bite. I'm new here too. Came two weeks ago. Scary isn't it?"
I try to give her a friendly smile. She seems like a nice girl. She leans her head on her arm.
"I'm from Japan. Came here with my parents. You?"
I pretend not to hear her. I don't like talking about my past. It gives me the shivers just thinking about it.
"You okay? You look a bit startled. You wanna be friends? I can show you around the school?"
I nod. It can't hurt to have someone helping me. But right now, I couldn't be more afraid. Right now, even though she's telling me not to be, I am still to afraid to talk to her. Right now, all I want is to know more about the boy from the bus.
