The Girl in Blue Heels

I'm standing with Erino and Sandy during break when I hear someone saying my name. I turn to see Sakura in the far distance. I make my way towards her and as I do, I notice another girl standing with her. Looks like she's new. Sakura always gets to know the new girls first. She knows everyone in our year.

"What's up?" 

I try to say it in a cool way to make me look good in front of the new girl. She's quite pretty really. Short brown hair, beautiful brown eyes...

"Hey Toby. This is Yoshie. She's new."

I look over at Yoshie. What a beautiful name. I mean...everyone has beautiful names. She looks at me. It feels like her eyes are going straight into my eyes and into my soul. She's beautiful. Erino and Sandy come over. With one look, they start to laugh. We walk away. Erino is the first one to talk.

"So Toby...any thoughts on the new girl?"

I  look at him. He looks at me. Sandy looks at me. 

"Ummmm...she's nice."

They don't take their eyes off me.

"What?"

"Come on Toby. Sandy and I both know what happened there. You like her, and there's nothing you can do about it. You like Yoshie. Admit it."

I stare at Erino. There's no point in fighting with him. He'll always win. He always does.

"Yeah. So what?"

They look at me in surprise.

"So....ask her out!"

"No way. Nup. She'll say no. I can't."

"Listen Toby, we saw both of you. She definitely likes you. Plus, if you like it or not, we're going to do something about it. And there's nothing you can do to stop us.

And with that, the bell rings and they walk of to class. What has happened to my life?
