As I finish putting everything into my locker, I see someone approaching me from the corner of my eye. I look over my shoulder. A girl that looks the same age as me is walking slowly towards me. She looks familiar, but I don't bother asking. She looks shy. I make my way to my first period class. Maths. Who the hell puts maths first period on a Monday?! It just doesn't make any sense!
*RING*
The bell bursts my ears. I sit down in my allocated spot in class. I hate maths. Mrs Mochi starts writing algebra on the board. I have no idea what she's doing. Everyone starts to talk amongst themselves. The teacher turns around to shush us. She then looks at me.
"Toby...come and write the answers to these questions on the board. Make sure they're correct!"
She gives me an evil smile. I don't think it was intended to be evil. But boy was that scary. The class goes silent. All eyes are on me. I take the lid off the white-board marker. This is not going to end well.
