Ch. 2: What The Hell Happened?

As security escorted a fan away, I looked through the line of fans eager to meet us. And there were a lot. The fact that a lot of fans were screaming did not make it easy for any of us. See the four of us are vampires. Yes, vampires. We aren't necessarily the "nice" kind either. We're the type that kill without mercy. There's only one person in the world that we can't harm and that's our mate. Our mate is someone of the opposite sex that we spend the rest of eternity with and love forever. The sad thing is that we haven't her yet.

As my eyes roamed the line of fans, one girl caught my attention. Man, she was beautiful. She had long brown hair, pale skin, and bright emerald green eyes. I didn't even notice that I was staring at her till she smiled and waved at me. I returned the gesture getting this weird feeling in my chest when it hit me. She is our mate.

I turned to whisper something in Ashton's ear. "Ashton I found her. Our mate. She's in the back with the white shirt and brown hair." I tell him, making him look back at her. "Wow." He spoke in awe.

After what felt like forever, it was finally time to meet her....

After we got a chance to meet her and her friend we learned that her name is Natalie. Beautiful name for a beautiful girl. We followed the car that her best friend Jade was driving until the car pulled into the driveway of an average sized house.

After Natalie got out of the car, we knew that this was her house.

"Now can we get her?" Luke asked stepping forward. "Not yet." I said, pulling Luke back in the shadows unable to be seen. Once she unlocked the front door and stepped inside that's when I knew that it was time.

"I'll go see if there's an open window or anything." I say before speeding to the back of the house. I walked up to the sliding glass doors and luckily, it was unlocked.

"Alright. Come to the back." I mind linked the guys. Within seconds Ashton, Luke, and Michael were by my side. However, I did notice something. Ashton had blood on the corner of his mouth.

I just tried to ignore what he could have done and slid the door open. We walked into what appeared to be a dining/kitchen area.

On the wall hung several family photos. Is it bad that I can't help but to stare at Natalie? I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a loud crash. I turned around to find a lamp shattered into hundreds of pieces on the floor. And guess who was standing by the lamp. Michael Gordon Clifford.

"Michael that the actual fuck?!" Luke whisper yells at Michael. "I'm sorry dammit." He rolled his eyes. Hopefully the lamp shattering didn't sound that loud. It possibly just appeared loud to us because of our vampire hearing.

"Jade? Is that you?" A familiar voice called out from another part of the house. I put my finger up to my mouth, signaling for everyone to be quiet.

After a couple of minutes of silence, we all separated and wandered the house. "Go upstairs and third door on the left." Luke mind linked us. We all sped up the staircase and found the room that Luke was talking about.

Luke placed his hand on the knob and slowly turned it open, revealing her bedroom. "Shh. She's sleeping." Ashton whispered. I looked over and saw her asleep in bed.

"Aww she looks so adorable." Michael cooed as the four of us looked down at our mate sleeping. I'm so happy that I can say that. Our mate.

"Do you guys think that she'll freak out when she wakes up?" I asked. "I mean, what would you do if you got kidnapped from your bedroom by four bloodsucking vampires and could never leave?!" Ashton whisper yelled and hit the back of my head. I would've attacked him but I didn't want to wake Natalie up.
