Ch. 6: Running Away

•••Natalie's POV•••

The car ride home was pretty calm. However every couple of seconds, Calum would glance back at me through the rearview mirror and then back at the road. Actually I wouldn't consider it a glance, I'd consider it a harsh glare. I don't know why though.

Once we got to the house, Michael and Calum helped me with my bags and we brought them up to Michael's room. I guess I'll be staying in Michael's room then. "You'll be staying in Michael's room till we get your room set up." Calum told me, as if he could read my mind. Can he?

I just nod as I drop off the last of my bags. Michael smiled and walked out of the room. I was about to follow him until I felt Calum grab my arm.

"You better not do what I think you're going to do." He growled, staring me dead in the eyes. What do you mean?" I asked, confused as to what he meant. "You know what I mean." And with that, he walked out of the room. 

Um...okay...

I walked out of the bedroom and back downstairs to find all of the guys talking in the living room. "Hey Nat can we talk to you for a second?" Luke asked. "Yeah, what is it?" I ask, sitting between Luke and Michael on the couch. Ashton and Calum were sitting in two separate chairs beside the couch.

"This is pretty important so listen," Ashton started, making sure he had my attention. "We're going to have to start this thing called the mating process soon. Before you ask there's two parts of the mating process. The first part is where each of us bite you and drink some of your blood, and then you drink some of ours. Then you'll be marked. The second part is a bit more complicated...its sex." Ashton explained. My eyes widened and i tried to swallow a lump in my throat. They expect for me to have sex with them?! I mean I'm 15! Also, they expect for me to be fine with them biting me...um no thank you!

Luke saw my reaction and chuckled, rubbing my back. "Don't worry, there's a lot of time."

"How long till we have to start the first part of the mating process?" I asked. "Four days. And the second part doesn't have to be done till you're 18." Michael answered.

"We should also let you know that we have powers." Calum says. "I can read minds, Michael has the ability of mind control, Ashton can heal and cause pain, and Luke can shapeshift. And all of us can mind-link, have super speed, and super strength."

Well damn....

"So do you have any questions?" Ashton asked. I just shook my head no. "I'm just going to go upstairs." I say, excusing myself before walking back upstairs and into Michael's room, closing the door behind me.

You've got to be kidding me?! They have fricking powers?! So first off they're six foot tall vampires that can kill me at any moment. Now they're vampires with powers that make them more powerful!

I hopped on Michael's bed and fell into deep thought, before drifting off to sleep.

Ashton's POV

"Okay...Yeah...we'll be there soon." I say before hanging up the phone. I let out a sigh before walking back into the living room. "What was that about?" Michael asked. "Our manager wants us to come down to the studio." I tell the group, not in the mood to go down to the studio. I just wanted to go to bed even through it was 6:00ish. 

"Okay, I'll go get Natalie." Calum says before hopping off of the couch. "Why?" I asked, not seeing the point in getting Natalie. "I don't trust her to be here alone." He shrugged before walking upstairs. I followed him into Michael's room to find Natalie laying peacefully asleep on the bed.

"Aww." I cooed. "Calum just let her sleep and we'll write a note." Calum just sighed before nodding his head. What's the deal with him? Does he not trust Natalie...oh yeah, he doesn't.

I grabbed a notepad from Michael's side table and wrote a small note telling her what was going on if she woke up.

"Night Nattie." I whisper and kiss her forehead before walking out of the room with Calum and closing the door behind me.

Natalie's POV

I felt myself start to wake up on Michael's large and comfy bed. I looked over at Michael's bedside table to find an alarm clock with the time. 6:06 p.m.

I was about to hop out of bed when I heard voices in the hallway. Okay, act calm. I laid back down on the bed and pretended to be asleep when a heard the door open, followed by footsteps.

"Aww." I heard Ashton coo. "Calum just let her sleep and we'll just write a note." I didn't hear anything from Calum before a heard the sound of paper ripping and writing.

"Night Nattie." Ashton whispered and kissed my forehead before I heard the footsteps exit the room and the door close.

The second the door closed, my eyes popped open and I looked on the bedside table that was closest to me and saw a note.

Nat,
Our manager called and asked us to come down to the studio for a bit. We'll be back in a couple of hours and we would have woken you up, but we say that you were asleep. Also there's macaroni and cheese in the fridge if you got hungry.

Wait! This is my chance to run away! Yes, this is perfect! I'll wait a couple of minutes and then I'll leave. However, I'd be lying if I said that I didn't want the macaroni and cheese. I mean, I love it!

I waited a couple of minutes before walking out of the bedroom before stopping my self. Okay, Super Sneaky Spy Natalie Mode Activated.

I carefully tiptoed down the staircase and entered an empty living room. I walked over towards the window and looked outside finding one of the cars missing in the driveway.

Okay, it's time. I ran to the back door and unlocked it before running outside and finding that the back of the house was surrounded by woods.

By now the sun was setting and I realized that I was still wearing the clothes that I was wearing when Michael and Calum took me to the mall.

"Well, there's no turning back..." I thought to myself before running into the woods...

Sorry for not updating yesterday. I had minor writer's block...but I'm back. Also it's Liam Payne's birthday today! (I'm writing this in the middle of the night) And quick question - should I add one direction in this story?
