Chapter forty one

Fuck I feel good right now, I'm home.
As I sit with my legs up on my big white couch, I watch the sweaty, burly moving men bring in my furniture piece by piece. My monochrome furniture looks great in here and I made Cole go find Jace's cowhide rug to put under the coffee table. I'm sure I'll move things around for a while but for right now the living room is perfect, our styles blend perfectly and I take it as an omen. I can't wait to light the fireplace, I don't care if it's summer. Jace mounted the TV above the mantle and all our furniture is placed so it's the focal point of the room.
"How you doing here Mama? Can I get you anything?" Cole asks being overly attentive.
"I'm good, thanks though. Are you going to stick around for dinner? Jay got you a big thick steak" I ask in return, since I punched him he's being very nice to me.
"Sure, if you don't mind. I know you are expecting company" he flops down at the end of the couch and lifts my feet into his lap casually.
"Not at all, you have been working hard all day. I kinda feel bad you have to work tonight" I grimace.
"It's not really work tonight, it's so slow on a Tuesday and Big Man disappears to do the ordering. The guys and I usually slack off" he smirks.
"Either way you don't get any down time today, I promise I won't bother you at all tomorrow" I sigh as Cole starts to rub my feet, it's weird that I'm so comfortable with him now.
"Not like I've got much else to do, I've been going insane in that house by myself. I don't do alone very well since mum died" he shrugs.
"Well you know where I live" I offer giving him a reassuring smile.
"That I do Blondie" he chuckles.
"How's the face? Looks like you might have a black eye for a few days" I ask looking over his red and waxy eye socket, his bruised cheekbone.
"Hey don't stress over it, I'm good I promise. Although if you came to work tonight you could keep an eye on me?"
"You've been talking to my sexy overprotective fiancé right?" I giggle.
"Yes he has, I told him to be more subtle than that" Jace startles me leaning over the back of the couch to kiss me as he brings in a box from the porch.
"Jesus Jay, you move like a panther, quiet and lethal" I gasp and smile as he kisses my temple.
"Comfy Cole? Can I get you a beer while you move in on my woman?" Jace cocks his head to the side watching Cole's hands work their magic on my feet.
"Would you mind? I'd get one myself but your woman would miss me too much" Cole smirks at him.
"My foot won't miss your ass" Jace grumbles and drops the box down in the dining room.
"Hey Big Boy, C'mere I've got something to tell you" I call Jace over with a crook of my finger.
Jace smiles and saunters over to me total bad boy sexy and leans down like I have a secret for him, I grab his shirt by the collar and pull. Jace braces himself just before crushing me but not before his body covers mine and his face is so close I can almost taste his lips.
"You look so sexy right now, all sweaty and overworked. Fuck I love you" I whisper against his mouth.
"Christ your dirty mouth is hot, I love you too" he leans closer and I feel the brush of lips on mine.
"Sexy demon spawn of satan" I breathe and he chuckles.
"My sweet Angel" Jace moans and I kiss him softly.
"Not awkward at all" Cole comments and squeezes my foot and I hear the smile in his voice.
My hands move into Jace's hair and Jace's hips press into mine, I feel Cole slip out from under me and my knee bends to press into my mans waist. Our kiss continues and my breath gets caught in my chest, my heart picks up pace and Jace moans into my mouth. Yes, I need more, I need everything. I just need......
"This is the right place, it's the only one in the street with a truck out front" I hear May's voice at the open door and freeze.
"God damn it. Fuck Angel pie, hold that thought" Jace groans and smiles wicked.
"Hello, Jacey?" May calls out.
"Yeah mum, come in" Jace sits up blushing and I giggle.
"Oh baby boy, look at this place!" She gushes and I sit up too.
"Yeah we're getting there" he smiles as his mother takes in the fact we were obviously making out here.
"Hey Mum" I say with a grin I can't hide.
"Oh darling come here!" She fusses and Jace pulls me to a stand.
"Sorry it took so long" I blush as she hugs me hard and the girls follow her inside.
"Darling I forgive you, I'm so happy you said yes. I always wanted another daughter" she pulls back to look me over. "What's wrong?" She asks.
"Nothing, I'm great" I shake my head and she cocks her head to the side.
"Hmm no, you've lost weight and you look like you haven't slept in weeks" she tells me.
"Uh thanks?" I blush embarrassed at the scrutiny.
"Not a compliment darling" she frowns.
"Your son's not easy to lose" I whisper hugging her back.
"Oh sweetie, you hold tight now you hear me. Don't let him slip away again" she comforts me with a pat on the back of the head.
"Hey! You going to show us this ring or what?" Lilly demands behind May.
"Hey yourself, you girls okay? I'm so sorry about yesterday's drama" I hug each girl kissing their heads.
Lilly shrugs it off but Amber is looking at me different, like she's checking for injuries or harm.
"I've been worried about you" Amber tells me holding onto my waist.
"You should be, do you know how hard it is to lift my hand now?" I smirk changing the subject and hold out my hand for all three of them.
"Holy fudging choc balls Bee! That's huge" Lilly rushes out grabbing my hand to turn it over in the light.
"Wow sis, it's so beautiful. I love it" Amber runs her thumb overtop to feel the diamonds.
"Oh baby boy you did so well, absolutely gorgeous Jacey" May turns to Jace and I think she's crying.
Jace has retreated to the kitchen with Cole who now has a beer, hmm he must of slipped home while we were making out.
"I know she is, that's why I put a ring on that" Jace winks at me amused with the female display in the living room.
"Hey Coop right?" Amber wanders over to the kitchen with a flirty smile.
Oh no she doesn't.
"No Am this is Cole, Coops brother and twice your age. You can put those lashes away" I step in her way.
"Sup little Blondie?" Cole smirks at us.
"Nothing is up Cole, she is seventeen, nothing is up whatsoever" I frown at him but it only makes him laugh and he hugs my neck kissing my cheek.
"Cole Bentley, next door neighbour and yes Coops's little brother" Cole sticks out his other hand for Amber to shake.
"Amber Reynolds, part time resident and little sister" Amber tells him laughing at us.
"And this is?" He looks to Lilly.
"Lilly. Take your dirty hands off my sister" Lilly raises her brows expectant and Jace smirks and hugs his baby sisters shoulders.
"Woah, little Masters. Guess it runs in the family" Cole chuckles raising his hands in the air and stepping away from me in innocence.
"Not a Masters, but yes she gets her awesomeness from me" Jace ruffles Lilly's hair and she smacks his hand away.
"This is May" Jace smiles at his mum and she kisses his cheek.
"I didn't know you had two sisters, hey, Cole" Cole holds his hand out to May and she shakes it with a grin.
"He doesn't, he has four and I am not one of them but thanks. Looks like you've already been told to keep your hands to yourself today" May gestures to Cole's face.
"Yeah sure have" Cole laughs winking at me.
"Were you fighting with my brother?" Lilly asks touching Jace's mildly bruised face.
"Ah not exactly, it's just something we do. He likes it. Blondie here not so much" he shrugs.
"Queen Bee-ach? Did you do that?!" Lilly asks me and I blush.
"Hmm kinda, I didn't know that's what they do. I just reacted and hit him back" I admit sheepishly.
"It was awesome" Jace tells her with a cocky grin.
"Drinks anyone? May would you like a coffee?" I offer to change the subject.
"Please darling" May steps into the kitchen and admires the counters.
"Girls?" I ask.
"Not yet, can we go choose our rooms?" Amber asks looking around.
"Sure, you girls get the second floor. No fighting. Both bathrooms are being redone and you can paint the way you want" Jace points to the stairs.
"Bathrooms? We get our own?" Lilly asks excited and Jace nods.
They both take off giggling and chatting excited. I smile at my man for making them so happy.
"You are going to be their favourite person in the whole world, thank you" I reach up and kiss Jace's jaw.
"Hmm welcome sweetheart" he smiles and kisses my lips.
"It's so incredible what you have done in here Jay, it's completely changed the whole space. What else have you done?" May asks while I put the kettle on the stove.
"So far just the bathroom and kitchen on this floor, and the basement, Beth honey why don't you take mum downstairs and show it off? I'll finish the drinks" Jace's hands rub my back hugging me to his body.
"Thanks, want to take them out back and we can start the grill?"
"Yeah, I think the truck is empty. The guys are just putting your old bed together down the hall then they're gone" Jace tells me and I lead the way to the basement.
