Chapter twenty seven

"I could die today and my life would be complete" I sigh as I float on my back in the warm water of the pool.
"I don't think so Angel, I have a whole life planned out for us and it doesn't end today" Jace growls at me from the side, his legs dangling in the water.
"Oh you do? Do your plans involve any more of that dirty demon sex? Every time I close my eyes for the next month the only thing I will see is your fingers in your mouth" I blush again at just the thought, fuck this man is wicked.
"Sweetheart you haven't seen anything yet, I'm still on my best behaviour" he chuckles watching me.
I lose my concentration and sink down under the water with a giggle, when I come up holding my head back to keep my hair from my face I see Jace is gone. I look around and start to panic when I can't see him, then scream as something pulls my leg and I sink down again.
Jace clutches my sides and kisses me hard under the water with a smile on his face, I punch his chest and kick to the surface with my heart beating so fast.
"Sorry honey" Jace kisses me again laughing at me, totally not sorry.
"Asshole, you scared me" I pout but I'm laughing too.
"Sorry" he repeats breathless but with the sweetest smile.
"Forgiven" I tell him with a kiss because who could be mad at this face.
His arms wrap around my body and my legs wrap around him leaving Jace to tread water for us both.
"Thank you, I swear every time I look at you you get more beautiful" he kisses the side of my face.
"Every time you open your mouth you just get sweeter, I will love you forever" I rest my head on his shoulder hiding my face in his neck.
No man will ever be enough for me now, I hold tight to this moment because I know I will need every memory to get me through the lonely life that awaits me when he's gone. When he's moved on or I've pushed him away with my insecurities or my crazy fears prove to be too much for him to bare.
"Promise?" He asks after a moment like he was thinking about my words too.
"Cross my heart" I whisper and it sounds sad even to me.
"You feel okay?" Jace asks with a kiss on my cheek, does he get tired of having to ask that?
"I'm feeling good, you definitely feel better" I kiss his neck and move my hands over his rock hard body.
I am feeling good right now, no nausea, no head spins, no cramping, no period but still sore and sensitive boobs.
"Hungry?" Jace asks with a chuckle.
"Yes, even after the sandwich" I say almost embarrassed.
I was only joking but Jace made me one anyway, finding everything in the little kitchen to make me a grilled cheese, turkey and cranberry sandwich on the pretence that he wanted one too.
"Good girl, how about we dry off and light the fire pit before dinner?"
"Sounds perfect, it's so beautiful here. If I wasn't scared of the bugs I would be tempted to sleep out here under the stars" I lean back dipping my hair into the water and look at the clouds turning pink and purple with the setting sun.
"I doubt the bugs could resist this body, I can't" Jace kisses my exposed windpipe with a groan.
I swear to god he is going to drive me totally bonkers with his sweet words and his soft lips.
"This is love" I whisper to myself, to stop my mind from telling me to run in panic.
"Yes Angel, that's exactly what it is" he tells me rough.
Jace swims us to the edge and lifts me onto the edge like I weigh less than a small child then pulls himself up next to me and I totally get my perv on, watching his muscles work under the water dripping over his body. I'm so fucking jealous of those tiny drops right now.
"You like?" Jace smirks pulling me to my feet.
"Oh yeah" I bite my lip and smile when I don't blush, nope I'm not embarrassed about liking the very sexy body of my man.
"Good" he nods.
"I'm not sure these shorts of yours could sit any lower, I want to kiss you right here" I say breathless with my index finger softly brushing over the line of his V that disappears into his waist band.
"Don't let me stop you" he sucks in a breath and his stomach muscles jump under my touch.
I crouch down low, eyes level with his navel and place a small kiss at the top, next to his left hip and run my tongue down to his waist band. I place a small kiss here under his belly button then trace my tongue back up to his right hip, stopping to kiss here too. His stomach quivers and his breath is harsh like I'm driving him crazy, god I hope so, he needs some payback.
"Beth" Jace groans.
"Yes Jace?" I say with a smile.
"No one kisses like you. Fuck I love your kisses" he pulls me to my feet and kisses me roughly.
"You wanted to start a fire yes?" I giggle.
"Yes, a fire not a my fire. Go on inside and get ready to head down to the beach for dinner, there are sarongs hanging in the bathroom" he tells me with a grin.
"So bossy" I narrow my eyes at him but can't keep the smile from my face for long.
"Love you too" he smirks over his shoulder already walking to the fire pit.
