*Keylee’s POV*

I sighed,’What am I doing here?’

“Well, I will just go the…” I said turning around.

“No,” he said grabbing my arm,” wait, don’t you want to...talk?”

“About what?” I said tilting my head looking back at him.

He looked out the door, lost in contemplation.

“What  can I do to take back what did?” he asked, his smokey blue orbs shined.

I turned my head to look at the floor, I had a lot to say but every time I had the chance I went speechless. There was so much I wanted to say but it always vanished. “I wish I could say nothing, you’ve said sorry but I just can’t-I can’t forget Jace. I can’t do it.” I looked up at him as he looked at me. Our eyes locked and his had went soft, I knew mine were full of pain. There’s just somethings you can’t hide. He turned me to look at him and hugged me, “I know. Keylee I know.” His voice broke, “I’ve always known.” I could tell he was trying not to cry, he was failing at it, but he was trying.

….

*Paisley’s POV*

“Nope. Nothing again.” I said to Ian as I got back in the car. We’ve wasted two hours worth of gas and still haven’t found either one of them. We were looking in town and calling first but there was no sign of Shain or Aiden anywhere. Going to Shain’s house next, which come to think of it was the first place we should’ve tried. I guess I figured if he wasn’t going to make contact he wasn’t at home. Stupid logic, I know.

“Ian why didn’t we just go to Shain and Aiden’s houses first?”

He just stopped and looked at me with a blank expression, “Oh my God why didn’t we think of that!?”.

I just threw my hands up, “I know!” Stupidity gets the best of us sometimes.

He cranked his car back up, “well let’s get this show on the road.”

….

*Keylee’s POV*

“Keylee I think we need a fresh start.” Jace stated it with so much confidence. It was killer confidence but you could tell it had a foundation of long hard thinking behind it.

“Jace we will never have a fresh start. It’ll never happen.” I know it won’t so we shouldn’t even try.

“We can always start over though.” He was right but I don’t think so for right now.

“N-not right now though. That’s a little fast don’t you think?”

*Jace’s POV*

“N-not right now though. That’s a little fast don’t you think?” She said it like she was presenting a school project. I knew she was being truthful, and in all honesty she was right. I couldn’t disagree with her at all.

“Yeah. I can’t disagree, but I also think we need to fix some other things too.”

….

*Aiden’s POV*

“Talkin’ bout girls, talkin bout trucks. Runnin’ them red dirt roads out kickin’ up dust…” I heard my phone ring and hit ignore. It was only Shain callin’ anyway. He’ll end up callin’ again before I call him back anyway.

“Aiden stop messin’ on that phone with your girl and come here.” I turned out at the sound of his voice, “man you know I wasn’t talkin’ to her”. He smiled thinkin’ I was sneaking around on her but I wasn’t, not with another girl. I was just with friends I knew she didn’t approve of. I couldn’t blame her honestly. Alex did her wrong, Jennifer was well there’s no words for it, and Timmy started a bunch of bullshit with her. There were other people here but they didn’t know who she was, she knew them though. She kind of approves of Liam but he’s just like me, stuck in the middle. Melody makes it obvious that she wants me but she likes everyone so I could care less, Daesi wants Shain. Which I find odd because her and Melody are best friends and Shain and I are really close. I almost went for Melody but that bitch is crazy.

“Pass me another beer while you’re at it”, I leaned close to Timmy getting himself one.

….

*Paisley’s POV*

“Shain!” I yelled as I knocked on his door which opened as I knocked on it. I looked at Ian and shrugged and I went in slowly. No sign of Shain in the living room or his room. The bathroom door was halfway open, so I opened it the rest of the way and saw him. He was hanging halfway out of the tub shirtless, bottles all around him, and was that green hair?

“Shain, Shain. What are you doing?” He finally looked at me and his eyes got huge.

“Oh no-shit. Dammit.” He stuttered.

“Shain your hair is green!” He stood up and walked over to the mirror, “well I’ll be damned. It is.” He stood there for a second. “OH MY GOD I HAVE GREEN HAIR!” He grabbed the edge of the sink and then rubbed his face and turned around to face me. “What did I do?”

“Well I’d love to give you an answer but I’m still caught up on your green hair.” I crossed my arms and leaned against the door frame.

A/N Off to the side is a picture of Shain in the tub.
