I sat down on the sectional couch in the bonus room. The TV is better in here than in my room, even though they both have Netflix. I think I enjoy the silence and privacy. I can get that all over my house because honestly no one is ever home. Deciding that there was nothing on TV I found interest in and honestly Netflix didn’t sound inviting either. Getting up from the couch and just kind of pacing around the room a little bit I eventually sat down at the bench in front of the piano. Not knowing exactly why I sat down I kind of sat there for a second. The keys looked inviting, I ran my hand down and back up them. Eventually stopping to play a note. I eventually started singing to.
I'm gonna pick up the pieces and built a Lego house. If things go wrong we can knock it down.
Three words have two meanings, there's one thing on my mind. It's all for you.
And it's dark and a cold December but I've got you to keep me warm.
If you're broken I will mend you and keep you sheltered from the storm that's raging on now.
I'm out of touch, I'm out of love.
I'll pick you up when you're getting down.
And out of all these things I've done, I think love you better now.
"You have a pretty good voice there."
I gasped and jumped, I didn't think anyone was here.
"Ian what are you doing here?"
"I came to ask a question, and I thought we were friends gee."
"I meant how did you get in my house."
He smiled, "oh that, well you should really lock things. Don't worry I did knock first, but I walked around the back and you weren't back there either but I knew you were home because I could hear you."
I stood there, how could he hear me in the bonus room?
"Ian how could you hear me?"
He turned and pointed to the window that was raised a little, giving me my answer.
Shaking my head and then continuing the conversation, "so what was your question?"
"Where's Aiden and better yet where's Shain?"
"I've been wondering the same thing. The last one I talked to was Shain, that was over a week ago he Skyped my on the tv," I pointed to my tv computer thing. I don't really know what to call it, I guess a smart tv.
He stood there in thought, "last one I talked to was Aiden."
"I haven't talked to Aiden in over a week. I didn't really worry about it ‘til a couple days ago because we all know how he gets."
"Yeah. I think we should go find em."
"Can I go put real clothes on."
"Why you look fine in those?"
"Ian I know you're a perv but you could at least not hit on girls who have boyfriends. Also I don't think this is appropriate," I looked down at my huge shirt and booty shorts, "also this is more leg than I ever wanted you to see." I finished as I walked through the kitchen.
He followed, "you wore a bikini just two weeks ago."
"Yes but we weren't alone also you can stay down here and not follow me, we all know you want a peek but sorry."
Putting on a plan purple shirt and a short sleeved button up and longer denim shorts I put on my black Vans. I ran down stairs with my keys.
"Why do you have your keys?" Jumping for the second time today. "Geez Ian could you sneak up on me one more time."
"Actually yes and put your keys in your pocket, my car is faster."
Holding my hand over my heart in a hurt manner, "did you just insult Beth?"
"You named your Jeep Beth? Also yes I did."
"She looks like a Beth and that was a low blow."
"Whatever just let's go." He walked out the door and locked it behind us.
"Wait I forgot my phone."
He let out an annoyed sigh, "you could run someone behind to their own funeral."
"Well I don't plan to be awake during mine so."
Unlocking the back door to run in and grab my phone off the kitchen counter. I locked the door back and was once again standing with Ian.
"Your phone wasn't in your room or in the bonus room or better yet in your pocket?"
"No."
"You don't sleep with it?"
"Nope."
"Why not?" He asked as we were buckling in.
"Only if I'm talking to Aiden or Shain."
"You're so weird." He put his keys in the ignition and cranked his blue '67 Camaro.
He turned around to back out, he looked at me. "You and Shain match better than you and Aiden do."
Breaking eye contact and looking out the window, "don't."
"Why not I'm just saying. It's not like I'm trying to convince you to break up with Aiden. We all know he's in too deep with you. I'm not trying to say you need to start cheating on him. I'm just stating my opinion and we all know my opinion is golden.” He gave me a toothy smile and turned on the radio. Some God awful song about death and who knows what I couldn’t even understand half the words.
“Ian what happened to you listening to real music?”
“It got boring.”
“Can we make it unboring?”
“Only if you sing along.”
“Mhm,” I fiddled with the radio.
“Actually I wasn’t feeling that song anyway.”
I looked at him and smiled, “good cause I wasn’t going to sing for you anyway. Now where are we going?”
He didn’t look back over at me or answer, so that meant I would find out when we got there.

*Jace’s POV*
Pacing like I always do when I get nervous. Funny part is I don’t know why I’m nervous I just all of a sudden got these weird butterflies in my stomach. I grabbed the shampoo from the top of the shower that I surprisingly had not slipped in yet from pacing. Lathering up the bubbles and rising them. I then put conditioner in my hair, it’s my secret. Hey what can I say I keep my hair soft. I rinsed everything off one more time and turned the water off. I shook the water out of my hair and pulled the curtain back. Stepped out onto the water rug thing and grabbed my towel off the toilet. I ran it over my hair and then dried myself off. I brushed my teeth and unwrapped the towel from myself and threw it in the tub. I went into my room and put on a white shirt and black boxers with jeans.
Walking down stairs and through the living room to the kitchen passing Keylee on the way through. “Hey Keylee.” Keylee? “Keylee?”
She looked up from where she was sitting on the couch, “oh hey, didn’t mean to intrude.”
I lifted an eyebrow at her, “how did you get in here?”
“Oh well I knocked and the door was unlocked, I yelled for you or your mom. No one answered but I knew you were home ‘cause of the car. I knew you’d find me eventually.”
Still standing in awe because I didn’t expect to see her at my house again of all places. My house. I looked at the hallway and turned my head.
“Well I found you alright. Um do you want some food?”
“No I’m good, I just figured. I just- I don’t even know why I’m here.” She looked at me with her big green eyes.
