I dressed up and ran out the door with my backpack slung over my shoulders. I knew I'd be late again. Its not like i don't put in much effort, i really do, its just.....Ugh! Never mind.

I got to school about two minutes into Mrs Wittgenstein's history class. She had her back turned, so i was hoping i could sneak into the class unnoticed by her.

Well, i guess fate had something else in mind.

I was just about to get to my seat when my arch enemy Leah Roberts just had to ask Mrs Wittgenstein a question, causing her to turn.
"Miss Rivers, you're late! Again." I cringed and turned to look at Leah. She had this evil smile on her face probably happy that her plan worked. "Ma'am, I-" i started, trying to rack my brain for some excuse to why i came late, but she cut me off. "Why are you late?" She asked. I rolled my eyes, since i was not facing her. Like i wasn't trying to answer the question in the first place. "Ma'am, i had a-" i tried once again, and she cut me off again.  "Hmm, let me guess, a cat died on your way to school and you had to attend its funeral?" She asked, mocking me for an excuse i gave her one time i came late for her class. The whole class roared in laughter.  "Umm...actually, it was a dog" it slipped from my mouth before i could hold it back. The whole class laughed again and i bit my lip, feeling very shy because i had the attention of the whole class.

The look on Mrs Wittgenstein's face was priceless. Her mouth opened and closed like a fish underwater. "Whatever! Go get seated immediately" she said once she regained her composure.
"Yes ma'am" I answered as i went to take a seat, prepared for the coming torture called "History Class"

The bell rang signalling the end of the period and i breathed out a sigh of relief as my face broke into a grin. I picked up my back pack as i left the class, stopping to greet some of my classmates.
"Hey Cedric"
  "Hey, Dani"
"I tried to catch up with you after our football match the other day but you had already gone far" he said trying to strike up a conversation with me, I think. "Oh, really? I didn't know about that" i said trying to recall when that was.
"Anyways, I'm inviting you for our next big game next week Friday. I really hope you'll be there." He said with a hopeful look on his face.  "Umm...no problem. I'll be there." I assured him with a smile on my face.  "Okay. So, i guess i'll see you later, then." I nodded.  He waved and went in the opposite direction from where we were standing.

Just then my phone vibrated signalling that a message had just come in. I unlocked the phone, putting in my password and saw that there was a message from my BFF Lucy.
"Hey!! Where are you?" It read. I smiled and replied her that i was on my way to meet her at our usual spot after school. Bob's. I was walking all the while i was chatting with her and i didn't even know I'd already reached the School's field until i rose my head up.

Immediately, a football breezed past my face and i let out a gasp. I whipped my head so fast to the direction which the ball came, I'm surprised i didn't get whiplash. Just then, a guy with brown straight hair walked towards me to retrieve the ball. He walked past me without a word.
I was so astonished. I couldn't believe it. So, he couldn't even apologise?? Here i was thinking to myself that i may even let him off the hook if he'd just apologised. I most definitely wouldn't let him get away with that.
"Hey! You couldn't even apologise? Are you kidding me??" I screamed at him.
"For what? Its not like you even got injured or something."
I fumed at him for being so non-challent about the situation.

The next thing i did was something i never believed I'd do in my entire life. I grabbed his arm and bit him. Hard.
"Ow! Oh my God! You bit me. How dare you?!" He screamed with fury. I smirked at him before replying him "you shouldn't be rude to people you know, that way you won't recieve such 'reactions'" i answered him and took of in a hot race so he wouldn't catch me if he planned to retaliate.
