I placed my books in my locker and sighed, closing my eyes.

Chemistry test.

Tomorrow.

What am I going to do?

"Are you alright, Dani?" My eyes popped open to reveal a nervous looking Aiden.
"Sure, I'm good. Thanks for asking." I said in a rush. He looked at me, doubt evident on his face.

"You sure about that? You look like you could use some help." I pondered about it for a while and thought 'sure, why not.' I sighed.

"You're right. I'm not okay. I have a chemistry test tomorrow and believe me when I tell you I suck at chemistry. Real bad. His face lit up in a grin and I frowned. "Are you laughing at me?" I asked, frowning and pouting at the same time.

"Of course not, I'm sorry. Its just...we have chemistry together, which means i have the test too and I happen to be on my way to study. Wanna come? I could help you." I gaped at him. "You're serious right now?"
"As serious as Miss Hemsworth when she's invigilating a test." He said. The corners of his mouth lifted in a smile. I couldn't help the smile that came onto my face. I chuckled lightly and said "Thanks, Aiden. It really means a lot."

"Its no stress." He replied. I opened my locker, brought out my chemistry note and textbook and said "Lead the way." He smiled. "And thanks again." I added. He nodded and we walked down the hallway to a not-so-empty classroom. Then I realised something.

"You never did tell me how you know my name." He chuckled nervously and said "Its not like its a big deal. Besides, your friend makes it a point to whine your name like twenty to twenty five times a day." I smiled and said "Oh, Lucy can be a such a baby sometimes."

Just then I saw Lucy and Damian walk towards us.

Speaking of the devil.

As Damian caught sight of us, his eyes widened infinitesimally. It was almost as if he didn't widen his eyes at all. When they got to where we were standing, i made the introductions.
"Damian, Lucy, this is Aiden, he's a friend. Aiden, my best friend, Lucy and her brother, Damian."

"So I'm just the brother." I heard Damian mutter and turn his head to the opposite direction. I coughed loudly to get his attention and gestured with my head for him to say something.
"Oh, hi. Nice to meet you. I didn't know you were Dani's friend." He plastered a fake smile on his face and placed an emphasis on the 'friend'. I stomped on his foot to shut him up and he winced. I felt like sticking out my tongue at him and saying 'serves you right, you moron.'

After the awkward silence, I said "Anyway, Aiden's helping me out with chemistry. I have a test tomorrow and I know next to nothing about what i'm supposed to read." I told mostly Damian because Lucy already knew about my phobia for chemistry. Lucy suddenly spoke. "He's good at chemistry?" She then turned to him. "You must be a genius." I concurred "I know, right?" Damian rolled his eyes and muttered. "Like its such a big deal." I raised my brows at him but he ignored me and dragged Lucy with him muttering and grumbling all the way.

"It seems like he doesn't like me much." Aiden said. I waved it off. "Don't worry, he'll come around, he's just grumpy that's all."
"If I didn't know better, I'd think he was jealous." Aiden said as we started walking into the classroom. I scoffed. "Jealous? Puh-lease. He has no reason to be jealous. Besides, we do know better, don't we?" Aiden shrugged. I sat down and opened the textbook.
"Now lets get this show on the road."

*********

Damian's Mom and Lucy's Dad got married last week and the ceremony was a wonderful one indeed. Lucy and I used up to a dozen hankies. The couple were so cute, remembering them puts a smile on my face everytime. Why, the looks they gave each other made them look like teenagers who just confessed their love for each other. Oh, and they were so cheesy. It was really a memorable event.
