Hey Hi Hello

It was the beginning but it had already ended for you,
Yet there I was, repressing,
Knee deep in unrequited love.

Shouting Hey Hi Hello,
Even though I knew it was just one sided,
I still stuck around,
Shouting Hey Hi Hello,
No matter what.

All the time I spent with you was crucial,
But it couldn't have meant any less to you.

You were all daggers and roses,
Lovely and all perfect but you took your life out on me,
All I wanted was to sew your wounds and kiss your lips,
Instead I just got to know your rejection,
Just waited and waited for you to come around,
Forgave you every time you broke my heart.

Love, I'm not the same as I used to be and that's on you,
But I could never hate you,
You were all daggers and roses,
And I fell in love with that knife in my heart and those thorns cutting my fingertips,
Because at least I got to hear your voice.

Shouting Hey Hi Hello,
Even though I knew it was just one sided,
I still stuck around,
Shouting Hey Hi Hello,
Despite it.

You were mine in my head,
And I thought that no price was too high to pay,
But when you started stealing my capacity for love,
It all became a little too much to take.

I was crazy for the possibility of love,
But you were never there to begin with,
Your love was all in my head,
Fantasized and surrealized,
A delusional fairytale land of emotions you didn't actually feel,

But still I stayed,
Shouting Hey Hi Hello.
