My mind carried me away to the world of dreams and wishful thinking, I don't remember stirring that night or having a bad dream. Instead I was engulfed in the warmth of him and his strong arms around me as I snuggled closer into his chest.

I wanted to stay asleep like this holding his hands and having him hold me. I opened my eyes because I couldn't stand it anymore I wanted to check and make sure that this was really real.

My eyes came into focus and I saw him in his natural form. His caramel skin glowed in the new morning's light while his shaggy brown hair was a mess, now curled in small rings all over his head. The swelling on his lips subsided and I stared at them in all their fullness, it took everything in me not to kiss him.

He looked so freaking hot when he slept and I was starting to think that it was impossible for him to ever look bad. He stirred now and was smiling in his sleep, making me wonder what he was dreaming about.

"Didn't I tell you that it's rude to stare especially when you don't talk to me while doing it?" His eyes opened lazily as a smile crept upon his sleepy face and his voice was low ,husky, yet incredibly sexy.

I turned away with shock and embarrassment wondering how long had he been coherent enough to watch me gawk at him. I felt my whole body burn and he chuckled as he pulled me in back to him.

"Not so fast Bradstreet, I'm the guest and you didn't even tell me good morning before you tried to leave me." He rubbed his eyes with his free hand and kissed my forehead.

My cheeks hurt from smiling so much in the past day but I couldn't help it, I looked at him and I just continued to grin. "Well Lakin, considering the fact that you used to basically live in my brothers room on weekends...You're not a guest but good morning." I said through a smirk, my eyes focusing on his face.

He brushed his nose across my forehead and kissed it, this was the best kiss. He looked me over and I remembered how bad I must've looked after a night of deep sleep, I instantly reached up to my rat's nest of hair defensively.

"No you don't." He said with a concerned face grabbing my hands in one swift motion. "I want to see the girl behind the makeup and hair products and tell her good morning, it's been a while." He looked into my eyes loosening his grip and pushing a curl away from my face.

I couldn't hold back any longer I needed to kiss him and longed for him to kiss me. I leaned in when I heard the sound of reality tapping my bedroom door.

"Anni honey, you awake yet?" My mother's voice broke the peace and my mind drew blank. "Honey are you in there?"

Kai rolled out of my bed and hit the floor softly without making a sound looking at me with worried eyes. "Yeah, give me a few seconds to wake up ma." I kept my cool while Kai went crazy to find a spot to hide. Mom was home early and she loved Kai Lakin, but if she knew he was in my bed we'd both be dead.

He smiled a sly smile at me and slid under the bed in one swift motion, catching my lips as he covered himself with my bed skirt. I sat up in my bed as my door creaked open, my mother's head peaking through.

I gave my best 'I just woke up yawn' and stretch. I smiled at her but cursed her in my head for coming home early and ruining my fantasy. "Hey cutie, when did you get home?" I threw in another stretch before I rolled out of bed, careful not to crush my secret visitor.

"Well I got in around three this morning, I'm surprised you stayed home alone kiddo." She said giving me a skeptical look while looking me over. "Your lips are a little swollen too, are you having another allergic reaction?"

I coughed loud to interrupt her from mentioning the medicine I'm on, I wasn't ready for him to hear that part yet. "Oh yeah um, I ate some of Nani's pineapple freezes and I bit my lip trying to chew....no big deal."
