Chapter 5
I walked home, recaping over what Dylan said.
I first walked into a starbucks, for a pick me up, when I saw a guy from my school behind the counter.
I walked to the other register he wasn't at, and prayed he didn't see me. I have had enough himuluation for one day.
When i got to the register, he called my name. Or, i think he called my name.
"Hey! Madison!" he called at me.
Not my name, but it's pretty close right?
I turned around to see just an old man behind where he was looking.
I was going to awkwardly walk by and if he wasn't talking to me...
As i walked by the register, his gazed turned to me.
"Madison! Hey!"
I turned around again. "Are you talking to me?" I said.
He grinned. "Your names Madison ins't it?"
I smiled slightly for the first time all day. "It's Madelyn, but thats pretty close."
"Oh. Well, I kind of...I dont know you seem nice."
"Oh well...yeah."
"So anyways, can I take your order?" he went back into work mode.
"Uh, i'll have a carmel frappachino." I said.
"Sure. And would it be to soon to ask you if I can..I don't know...get one for my self and..get a table with you?"
"You drink coffee?" I snorted.
"It keeps me awake! you try standing back here for hours on end!" he laughed.
"Well, i guess you can 'get a table' with me."
He smiled with fake overcheerfulness. "Yay!"
After 15 minutes of waiting, we were sitting at a table, playing 20 questions.
"So, I still haven't gotten your name." I said.
"Chase Joshua Kelly."
"I didn't ask for your full name!" I laughed.
"But now that i've told you mine, you have to tell me yours." He smiled.
"Madelyn Arabella Brown." i smiled back.
"Favorite color?" he asked.
"Guess." i smiled.
"Pink?" He guessed.
"No."
"Blue?"
"No."
"Orange?"
"No! i hate that color!"
"Well how was I supposed to know?"
"I dont know! Just keep guessing."
"Silver?"
"No!"
"Gold?"
"Nope."
"Red???"
"No!"
"I give up! just tell me!"
"Its blue!" I said, laughing.
"But that colors so basic!" he made a face.
"So is your face!" I said.
He took a spoon of whipped cream and flung it at my face.
"Hey! what the hell was that for!" i said.
"You called my face basic!" he said.
I picked up my spoon and flung whipped cream at him, and soon, we were making a mess in the middle of starbucks, flinging whipped cream mixed with coffee at each other.
After everything was gone, Chase and I ran out the door before we could get yelled at by the manager.
He put his jacket around my shoulders. (Cliche, i know)
"So, is there any chance I could see you after tonight?" he asked.
"Your so cliche." I smirked.
"Just give me your number!" He took my phone.
He typed his number in, and then texted himself.
"Thanks sunshine."
"Sunshine?" I smirked.
"Whatever." he smiled.
"I'll see you tomorrow?"
I laughed. "Bye."
He smiled. "Bye."
