Chapter 6
I woke up this morning, with a smile on my face.
I finally had a friend, for the first time in 2 years.
Sure I had some friends before my dad got arrested, but they ditched me when they found out what had happened.
I got off my bed, only to see that it's only 5 am. I usually don't get up until 6, but today i'm feeling like I have to dress nice.
Sure, Chase is my friend, but he's also super cute.
I walked into the shower, and l let the hot water sooth my back muscles.
I got out, and dryed my hair, and curled my hair.
Okay, maybe I'm "trying to hard", but you can't blame me.
I forced on skinny jeans and put on a light grey long sleeve shirt.
I walked down the stairs. "Mom?" I called.
She's not here. Surprise, Surprise.
I walked out the door and drove to my second day of school.

I pulled into the parking lot, and got ready for a take two.
I got out of my car and got my bag, and saw everyone look at me, Nobody saying anything.
Sophia walked over by where everyone was in a slutty dress.
"Look at that loser!" she said.
No one said anything, until Chase stepped up.
"Leave her alone, Sophia."
She turned around in rage. "Chase, back up and let me take care of her."
"No. You just need to stop bullying her."
He grabbed my hand and pulled me through the crowd, and into the building.

"I'm sorry Madelyn, they're all jerks."
I sighed. "I'm used to it."
"Why are they all like that?"
I sighed. I guess i should tell him. "My dad was arrested back in my old town, and everyone thought I was a freak and I guess the story got transfered here right now."
"Madelyn, I'm so sorry."
I smiled lightly. "It's okay."
~*~
I walked to my 7th class, the 2nd to last class of the day. Health Class. Chase and I have this class together, and it's our only one. But to my dismay, Sophia's in this class also.
I walked in, and Chase instantly met me at the door, and grabbed my books.
"Hey beautiful, let me take your books. I saved a seat by me and my friend."
I walked over to the table, Sophia already in the room at a table near by us. She smirked as I walked by, her two loyal followers, Melody and Kayla. I learned there names from all of the cute guys in the school calling there names down the hallway, and them running to them and hugging them.
I sat down, and Chase introduced me to his friend Andrew.
The teacher walked in and instantly started to talk about this new project we're going to be doing.
"I will put you into groups of 3, and you will all make a project about the growth of a human."
The whole class groaned, while a few immature people here and there giggled.
"Be quiet. You will have three weeks to complete the projects. I have the list of partners on the table. Come up and see them, and then move your stuff and go sit by your group all together in one table."
Everyone instantly shoved everyone to the front to see if they had a good group or not for the project.
Chase among the first of them, came up to me.
He smiled. "Hey project partner."
I smiled back. "We're project partners?"
His grin got wider. "Yep."
"Who else is our partner?"
"Sophia."
~*~
5 minutes later, we were sitting at a table together, planning our project.
Sophia wasn't really paying attention, she was just staring down Chase.
"Chase, Why do your eyes sparkle in the light?"
Barf.
Chase just plastered a smile and looked at her.
"Because they're beautiful." He said.
I nearly started laughing, but covered it with a cough because Sophia started to give me the death glare.
"Well your just so cute. Do you have a girlfriend?"
Chase smiled, this time a genuine smile.
"Really? And no."
His smile got bigger, and he was looking right into her eyes.
"Your adorable."
I nearly vomited. Why is he listening to this bullshit?
**Ding! Ding! Ding!**
The bell finally rang, and I couldn't get out fast enough.
Chase ran after me. "Hey Madelyn, where are you going?"
"I'm going away from you and Sophia's mushy romance thingy...whatever you want to call that."
He laughed like I was the biggest idiot ever. "I wasn't flirting with her or anything. I don't like her."
I rolled my eyes.
"Madelyn, why do you even care? It's not like you have a crush on me or anything. Me and you are friends, and I can't see us dating." He said in a cold tone.
I rolled my eyes again. "Well neither did I!" i exclaimed. "Maybe we shouldn't of even became friends." I said coolly.
"We've only been friends for a day, friends shouldn't fight the moment they meet."
"Then maybe this is a sign we shouldn't even be friends."
"God, Madelyn, why are you being so rediculous! We're fighting over a girl that i don't even like!"
"You were still 'shamelessly' flirting with her. She's the skank bitch thats been giving me crap since our neighbors threw a party for us. In which, they are our neighbors."
"Whatever Madelyn, just get away from me. I'll see you later."
~*~
I went home and threw my coat and backpack on a chair, and started crying.
Chase is just like the other people. He runs away the moment I do something wrong.
I grabbed my laptop and logged into twitter, Scrolling through my news feed.
People were mentioning me right and left, But Sophia and Chase we're going back and forth.
@Chasekelly What is that freak @Madelynbrownie 's problem?
@Sophialuvsyou shes crazy and her parents are even worse. Her Shitty father was arrested and her mom must be crazy.
The tears fell even harder. Why the hell did I even tell Chase anything? Hes just a little bitchy backstabber like the rest of them.
I ran upstairs and lied on my bed, crying myself asleep.
