Chapter 14
I woke up the next morning, feeling better than I had 24 hours ago.
Now that Sophia and I are friends, I feel like I could do anything.
Not really, but whatever.
I jumped out of bed and threw on skinny jeans, a blue shirt with short sleeves and black vans. Makeup was just mascara and clear lip gloss.
I grabbed my phone and was ready to go.

I walked into school with my head held high. So many people said hi to me this morning, probably because I'm friends with the most popular girl in school now.
I slid into Math class into a spot next to Sophia, and she smiled at me.
For the next 45 minutes we did boring work and talked.
Maybe things are starting to turn around.
I walked out of math class as soon as the bell rang, trying to be the first one out. Next class is science, and I don't want to get on the teachers bad side right now, with me getting ready to fix up my work.
"Hey." a voice came from behind me.
I turned around to face Chase, someone I haven't seen in a while.
"Hey!" I said.
"How you, uh, been?"
"I've been, well, okay, how about you?"
"Madelyn," He said, ignoring my question. "Would you maybe, wanna, uh, go out tonight?"
"Sure! Pick me up at 7, and we can catch a movie or something!"
He was taken aback because I didn't reject him. "Okay, do you like horror movies?"
"Love them." I said, smiling.

As soon as I walked in, I noticed science tests plastered on everyone's desk.
I'm so ready for this test.
"Alright, class. It's time for the test. I hope you all studied, and good luck."
Not much of a speech, but it's good enough.
I went though the test quickly. It was so easy.
The teacher graded it right then and there, and I aced it.
"Wow, I'm surprised. Madelyn, this grade could fix up all the assignments that you missed. Don't forget to get them in to me though."
I nodded. The bell rang, and everyone filled out of the room.
~*~
I threw on black skinny jeans and nice flats to look neater for the date, and added a light shade of eye shadow to my eyes.
As I was adding more mascara, my mom barged in. "Who are you going out with tonight?"
"Chase."
"The boy who broke your heart?"
"Mom, he's changed. I promise."
"I still don't like him."
"Well I do."
The horn honked, my sign to go outside.
"Bye mom!"
"If you're not home at midnight, I'm taking your phone!"
I laughed, and headed outside.

"How does Carrie sound to you?" Chase asked me when we got to the theater.
"Sounds good!"
I couldn't help but notice Dylan in the corner alone. I've been avoiding her all day, because I knew she would be up my ass wondering why I'm suddenly friends with Sophia.
"2 Tickets to Carrie, please." Chase said to the cashier.
"16 Dollars." I instinctively reached into my purse for money.
"I got it, babe."
My stomach fluttered when he called me babe.
"Enjoy the show."
We walked away from him and got snacks. Chase bought cotton candy, 2 sodas and a popcorn, while I whined at him for spending so much money on me, when I had my own and could pay.
We entered the theater, and picked a spot in the back.
We both put our legs up and intertwined them, and he wrapped his arm around me as the movie started.
I cuddled into him at the scary parts, and he would wrap his arms around me tight.
Dylan was in the theatre by herself, and I couldn't help but notice her turn around, and give me sad glances every now and then.
END OF PART I
~*~
Short chapter, I know.
And cliffhanger
Kind of.
But I have a long ass authors note regarding the story coming.
Read it or don't, I don't care, but you might be a tad confused.
No, I'm not putting the book on hold or anything.
But I'm now transitioning into Part II of the book, and I'm going to be mostly putting it into other peoples P.O.V (Point of View) like Sophia's, Dylan's, and Chase's.
Madelyn won't be as important in the story as she was.
And if the chapter title is confusing, it's not Sophia backstabbing Madelyn and being a bitch to her again, just to clear that up.
They semi-like each other now.
Dylan's going to be more of the main character now, just letting you know.
Alright, I might update before Wednesday, idk though. Im on spring break.
Yes, it's this late in the year.
Okay, I'm done now. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and the end of part I.
~Rachel, xx
