Chapter 21

Alison's POV

It's been about 6 hours since Emily went to surgery. I barley got Caleb to calm down and sleep "Emily Fields?" Caleb wakes up and goes to the doctor "how's my sister doing?"

"Emily had a massive bleed in her hea-"
"I thought you guys said it was a small bleed?" Hanna said crossing her arms "We thought it was a small bleed and for that we're truly sorry" he says "And how is she now?" I ask "She's doing just fine It was a successful surgery right now she's asleep she should be up in like 1 hour or so" he says "thank you" Caleb tells him we go to Emily's room both Hanna and Caleb yawn"You guys can go and sleep at the house I'll take care of her" I said "Are you sure?" Hanna asks

"She's my best friend I'm sure"

"Call us? When she wakes up" Caleb says "will do now go get some sleep" I give them a light smile I remember I still have Emily's phone she gets a call from this guy named Toby I answer it  "Hey em make it home safe ?"

"who is this?"

Toby: the question is who are you and why do you have Emily's phone

Alison: I'm her friend she's at the hospital

Toby: what happened?!

Alison: she got in a car accident

Toby: she drunk drives didn't she I knew I should've given her a ride

Alison: she was at a bar?

Toby: yeah she was drunk like off the scale talking about this girl that her and her brother were fighting over

I close my eyes it's my fault

Alison: Ohh you can come and see her if you want she's in room 120

Toby: will do bye

I turn off her phone "I'm sorry Emily" I whisper her eyes slightly opened "Alison? Where's Caleb and Hanna"

"They went home to get some sleep" I give her the cup of water for her to drink "You should sleep too you look tired"

"I'm not tired" I said "Emily was this my fault?"

She looks at me "What? No Alison this was all me I was the one who decided to drive myself home I should've stayed like the bartender said"

"I talked to Toby he called you"

"What he say?"

"He called to talk to you if you made it home safe but I didn't recognize his name so I said who's this and I told him how you got in a car accident"

"Is he coming?" She said "yeah I told him what number your room is"

We stared at each other "I thought you were gonna die" I said letting a tear fall down my cheeks she smiles "I'll never leave you Alison"

Emily's POV

"Come here" I said patting the spot next to me she lays down "go to sleep Al You need it"

She cuddles up next to me "Goodnight Em I love you" "I love you too" I said sighing

About 20 minutes later Toby comes in

"Emily, Emily, Emily" he says shaking his head I laugh "What I do?"

"Drunk driving really?" He says chuckling "So who the girl that's sleeping" he says pointing at Alison "My brothers girlfriend but also my bestfriend"

"Wait wait she's the girl that you were telling me about?"

"Yeah" he sits down "How are you feeling?"

"Alittle weak but I'll be just fine" I gave him a smile "next time I'm giving you a ride"

"Alright then"

He looks at Alison "how do you do it?" He asks "do what"

"Be okay with her and your brother together"

"I'm not I've been avoiding them but then the accident happened and yeah"

"So did the doctor ever tell you when you're getting out?" He asks "I don't think he knows I'm awake yet" he looks at his watch "Toby you can go if you have to I'm fine here I'm with Alison" I said smiling "alright then but you better expect me to come tomorrow with flowers and a get well card" he says laughing "alright goodnight Toby"

It's weird how me and Toby connected fast it's only been like what 3 or 4 hours knowing him and I'm already starting to feel comfortable around him I guess you can say he's slowly becoming my bestfriend
