The school year continued. Life was great, and I was having a blast. Danielle had calmed down and Tyler and I were still friends. I realized I was starting to have real feelings for him, but I hid it. I didn't want to ruin the friendship I had with him. He would I annoy me, we would fake argue, we would have super sarcastic conversations. It was fantastic. The school year started to come to an end. It was May and a lot of the teachers had given us the big tests, not finals as we were still in middle school, but after the tests, they had kind of given up.
I had PE with Danielle and Tyler, so we were walking on the track outside for PE. Danielle was acting really twitchy, which was unusual. She was always pretty confident in everything. I pulled her aside and asked her what was wrong.
"Are you ok?" I questioned.
"Look, I need to tell you, I don't think we should be friends with Tyler."
"This again, what are you talking about this "we", you don't have to be friends with him, but I'm not gonna stop."
"We just aren't as close as we used to be, and it is all HIS fault!"
"Danielle, you are being ridiculous, look, let's just go back to walking with Tyler and forget about this. I don't know what brought it up, but I don't want to hear about it again. So come on!"
"Screw you Grace, I'm done wasting my time on you. Goodbye!"
"What the... Danielle what the heck?" She ran off to another group on the track, and Tyler ran up to me.
"What just happened?" He asked.
"Nothing." I whispered. I had no idea what to do.

I figure that Danielle would be back the next day. Whenever we had fought in the past, we had forgiven each other within the day, although I rarely had done anything worth an apology, but I said sorry anyway.
I walked around the halls and I kept on hearing people say my name. It was just whispers here and there, but I was sure it was my name. I found Tyler and he asked me if I had heard.
"About what?"
"Danielle has been spreading rumors and calling you names. None of it is true, but it is pretty harsh."
I couldn't believe it, how dare she! We get in one fight and she starts this... this... crap! I almost started to cry from how frustrated and angry I was.
"Yo, you ok? Grace?" Tyler asked worriedly.
"I'm, I'm fine." I managed to choke out.
"Okay... Well we should get to class, don't worry about what she says, none of it is true, so it doesn't mean crap." He assured me.
For the rest of the day I just continued to think about the situation. I guess I had one less friend.

School finished and Danielle gave up trying to make me mad, as I really didn't care about her any more. I just wanted to hang out with my real friends and swim all summer.

HELLOOOOOOO
Sorry for it being like a year since I updated, I haven't even been on Wattpad in a while. Also sorry it is so short and it is a lot condensed in one chapter. I really want to get to the juicy parts of the story, and trust me, they are coming in a couple of chapters, which I will try to update soon. I also went through some previous chapters to fix some stuff, I didn't realize there were so many spelling mistakes! But I fixed those! Also, welcome to my newer readers and followers, I love you all!
See you soon,
Gray
