It has been eight months since the farm was over run by walkers. Daryl, Rick, Carl, and T-dog, ran into the house. I looked back at Lori who was grown out. I felt disgusted, she kept insisting it was Ricks baby.
I knew for a fact she was fucking Shane in the woods, behind Carl's back. That was cruel, to think that she would do that even though she kept believing that Rick was still alive. Rick gestured us into the house, he watched Lori walk by slowly holding her stomach. Rick wouldn't admit it, but he hated Lori, with a burning fire for what she did.
We sat in the house, waiting for food. I sat next to Daryl, who was plucking an owl. I rested my head on his shoulder lovingly. I saw Rick walk into the room, and throw a can of opened dog food against the wall. I couldn't help but feel sorry for Rick. He found out his wife cheated on him, and is stressed from leading the group. I could hear walkers, and jumped up. They all noticed what I saw, and gathered their stuff. We got into our cars and drove away. We traveled for miles, hoping to find somewhere to stay.
We stopped in the middle of the road. Everyone huddled up, around a car and layed out a map. I was watching for walkers with my katana out. I looked down at it feeling a bit uneasy. It was special to me. My grandfather before he died was in the military and traveled to Japan. While he was there a building caught on fire and he went in to save a man. The man thanked him by forging a sword he would never forget. Then when I turned ten he gave me the sword and said, "Zoe I want you to have this. I believe you can change the world one day using this sword." a year after he passed away and I promised myself to change the world just as he said.
I glanced over at Daryl, who was staring at me from afar. My cheeks turned bright red as I turned my head away from him. I could hear him chuckle as he walked into the forest. Twenty to twenty-five minutes later Daryl and Rick came back, and told us about a prison. Rick said it wasn't that far away, and we could most likely take it before sunset. Everyone saddled up and started driving on the path to the prison.
