Zoe's POV

I walked through the forest feeling annoyed and tired. I didn't bring my bow or sword but i felt like i didn't really need it. I did run into a few walkers while walking but it didn't take much for them to go down. For a while it was quiet, it felt like the world hadn't ended that moment. The moment was interrupted though by the down of a horse and it's rider. "Hi miss, what ya doing out here?" She asked hopping off of her horse. She was young maybe between thirteen and fifteen years old. She had dark brown hair that was a little longer than a pixie cut. Her eyes were a brilliant shade of green. Her clothes were tattered and dirty like a peasant during Arthur's rule. Upon her horse sat two full satchels and a bow. "What's your name?" She asked, crossing her arms. 'How hard can it be to take her down? She's just a kid after all.' I thought to myself tightening my grip on my knife. She looked down at my white knuckles and before I could even scratch her there was a sharper knife at my throat. "Don't test me Ma'am now tell me your name, and drop the knife while you're at it." She demanded pressing the tip to my throat even more.

I drop my knife, and put my hands up. Her cold emerald eyes held no mercy, and the hand holding her knife was still. "My name is Zoe Prindergast, please don't hurt me." I pleaded. She looked me up and down and lowered her knife. She then dug into her pocket and pulled out a picture of a man carrying her on his back. The man in the photo was Daryl and i paused at the site of him. "Have you seem this man? I don't care if he's a walker or alive just tell me if you saw him." She asked, handing me the picture. I nodded "Yes I saw a walker that looked like this." I lied nervously. As soon as those words left my mouth, the young girl fell to her knees and tears streamed through her thin fingers. After one minute of crying she stood up and took the photo from me. "Where did you see him?" She asked looking more heartbroken than anyone I ever saw.

I pointed in the direction of the small town we were in before we found the prison. She nodded and heaved herself up onto her horse. I could hear the clomping of hooves become more distant as she disappeared into the direction I pointed. 'Was that Amethyst?' I thought to myself as i stood there silently. I looked up at the sun which was covered by clouds, but was still peering through the cracks of the clouds. Realizing how long I've been out I make my way back to where i came from.

Amethyst's POV

I went in the direction that Zoe sent me and found a small town with houses wrapped in weeds. I walked but then saw a depression in the ground leading me to more depressions. People were there recently and one of the depressions matched Zoe's. But the depressions i found weren't of a geek but a live human. I followed Zoe's trail and found tire marks were her depressions ended. I got on my horse and followed the tracks, which led me to one road. I followed the road till i reached a sign that read 'men with orange suits may be escaped prisoners'. I continued on the road until it became all gravel, and over the road was a prison. the courtyard was clear, and there were a few cars lining the fence. I moved a bit closer and got a good glance at a group of people in the basketball yard.

I squinted and saw a young boy and girl. There was also an old man with no leg and a women who's belly was pronounced. I looked around even more and saw a group of men by the gate, while others trailed the fences. Then i could see a dot of faded light blue and brown. It was Zoe, and next to her a burly man. I turned and started moving the other way, when i heard screaming and shooting. That was enough to convince me to stay and I heeled my horse in the side making her sprint to the prison.
