I keep walking covered in blood and dirt. It's been almost a year since I left the prison and Daryl behind. I loved Daryl but pushed that aside being covered in walker fluid gave me cover while walking through hordes. I kept walking wondering where I would end up. I did run into people along the way but i dealt with them. I wasn't looking for refuge I was looking for memories. Memories engraved into the back of my head and silenced every day. I made my way to a gas station and filled my two backpacks with all the supplies I need. I heard the front door open and I crouched down. From behind a shelf I peaked out. There were two men with large duffle bags. I made my way to the back door and ran through the forest growing behind it.

After running for a few hours I sat down by a tree and took short breathes. The sun shined on my face making me look the opposite way of where I would be going next. There was a fence and beyond it was huge letters spelling Terminus. I remembered dreaming about a place called Terminus after escaping the farm. I made my way to the gate and was greeted by a smiling face. I women maybe in her fifties and a guy maybe in his mid twenties. They guided me through the train base and I was handed a plate of food. I wasn't hungry and refused I just wanted to sleep. I split from them and walked around making observations. Nothing seemed odd about this place.

I opened a metal door and saw a whole garage full of candles and lights. I turned right and opened a worn down door. Behind it were many items. Watches, weapons, stuffed animals. I took a look at the weapons examining every rifle and pistol. What caught my eye was a crossbow with green and white feathers. I picked it up and threw the strap over my shoulder. I turned again and caught the site of a strangely familiar watch. 'Wait a watch and a crossbow...' I thought as i stood there holding the watch. I watched the watch knowing it would never tick. "They're here." I whispered pocketing the watch and I take out my lighter and my pistol. I heard the brittle door open and in came a familiar face. It was Karol who ran and embraced me tightly. "Zoe where were you?" She asked moving my hair out of my face. "They're here aren't they?" I replied and she nodded.

I moved past Karol and started moving when I was screamed at to drop my weapons. I dropped the crossbow and crack shot her in the leg she. The women fell to the ground holding her leg, while Karol ran out to assist me. I pointed the nozzle of the gun at the women's head but slowly retracted. I walked over to the crossbow and flung it over my shoulder and opened the door swarming with walkers. Me and Karol hopped over the fence and as we got farther away the screams became more silent. After a few minutes of walking we reached a creek and I washed Karol's face. I flung the crossbow over her shoulder and left the watch in her palm. I turned and started to walk but Karol yanked my arm. "Zoe why did you leave out of the blue? Daryl was broken, everyone tried to find you. Where were you?" She grumbled. I looked at the ground and then back to Karol. "Amethyst told me to...." I whispered, finding my way out of her grasp. "Zoe... Amethyst is gone..." Karol replied.

We stood there for a while and after a long silence I turned back to Karol. "What happened?" I asked. "Merle shot her in the head after saving Glenn from the Govner." She answered looking me in the eye. "After that Daryl was scared. He went out to look for you everyday. He had nobody else after Merle died. Zoe please come back..." She requested. After a long silence I took the crossbow back and followed Karol through the forest.

After twenty minutes of walking I could see Daryl. His hair got longer and his stature held a great deal of seriousness. I walked closer and stepped on a small stick. He turned around and stared at me for a good ten seconds. I walked closer and Daryl ran up to me and lifted my whole body into the air. When he set me down I could see tears welling in his eyes as his head my my shoulder. We stood there as Daryl kept me in his embrace and his warm body heated the ice that surrounded my heart.
